Hello everyone!
I created this thread for everyone who applied to WesternU MSN-E program for the 2022 cohort. Looking forward to connecting with you all ?

For those that received interviews- did you ever hear about your application being under review or did you just receive the interview invitation?
For those of us that haven’t heard back yet - I wouldn’t assume the worst yet! It looks like last year’s cycle started hearing back about regular interviews the first weekend of February. My guess is they’re dealing with all the early acceptance interviews now and will start to offer “regular” interviews in this upcoming batch. It sucks but I think we maybe give it another 1-2 weeks.

Yeah, I got a confirmation email 1 day after I submitted my application.
Also, you should be able to see your application status in your application portal. I believe it's under "Next Steps" but don't quote me.
But if you didn't get an initial confirmation email back when you first submitted the application, then I would contact the admissions counselor to make sure it was correctly submitted!

thank you
Cumulative GPA: 3.9
Pre-req GPA: 4.0
I worked as a medical assistant and scribe at an internal med, pain management, OBGYN office, and outpatient surgery center for nearly 5 years. Volunteered and interned at OC Health Care Agency.
As for submission, I submitted around late September!

Hi FutureNP1004, can you tell us a little bit about how the EOAD went? what were the questions that were asked and how formal was it? Thank you!

Honestly it was super casual. I would say you don’t really need to prepare because I felt like they just want to get to know you more than asking formal questions. It was like 90% of faculty/staff talking!

We aren’t aloud to talk about specifics / questions they ask for either EAO day or formal interviews - we sign something saying we agree not to before signing up. IDK if anyone else saw that. Just a heads up!
Yeah! I’m not allowed to give any specifics but I’d say don’t be too nervous ?

I did a double major in human bio and psych with a cumulative 3.4 GPA. In college, I was very involved with my school's peer health education org. I took anatomy, physio, microbio, nutrition, and stats post-grad and my GPA was 3.85. For over the past two years, I've worked in a community-based mental health agency that targets the most high-risk and high-needs demographics in the county. GPA isn't everything!! Life hit hard many times (pre-Covid) throughout my undergrad and post-grad education so I had to withdraw from classes and take time off more than once. WesternU seems to consider applicants as a whole which I can appreciate. Good luck to everyone!
