Hello! I am hoping to apply for the 2023 cohort, so I’ll be watching this thread…

Besides having a good GPA, what other experiences did you all bring to the table? Does anybody have useful nuggets of information or advice specifically from Western or Western students (or alums)?

Does Western require the TEAS for their applicants? The website doesn’t specifically state it, at least not that I found

Hi all! Submitted my application in late October. Did anyone ever get an email confirming that Western U received your application? I never got one but I made sure everything was good on my application portal.

WesternU is located in a medically underserved area, so I think it’s meaningful to have experience working with disadvantaged populations - even if it’s not medical related.

Hi everyone! I also applied for the Fall 2022 cohort. I also did not get an email confirmation that my application was submitted, but after looking through previous cohorts' forums, we don't get one, just a confirmation that the payment for our application was received. Good luck y'all and hope you're all doing well during this waiting game! ?

if you go to your application portal, it should say that your application has been forwarded to admissions for processing

Where does it say that? I don’t think mine indicates that anywhere. Just has my application reference number, payment received section, application checklist, and prerequisite courses.

Just got off the phone with my admissions counselor and she mentioned the committee will be sending out formal interviews sometime next week. Best of luck to all of us!

A bit nerve wrecking!! Thanks for the update. Did she mention if it’ll be just the start of sending out interviews or will it be all interviews that are sent out?

@epo623 full transparency, I blacked out when she said this because I had asked her a question pertaining to fall 2021 transcripts, so she mentioned the committee sending invitations fairly briefly. I cannot recall her exact wording, just that they're meeting and to expect emails for invites sometime next week.
