I created this thread for everyone who applied to WesternU MSN-E program for the 2022 cohort. Looking forward to connecting with you all ?

No, I did not. I finished my pre-reqs before submission. But, I do remember from info session that IP courses do not defer your spot and consideration of admission!

I heard back from one of the admissions counselors (----------------------) and he did confirm that we should be prepared for an interview with some of the program's faculty. They may or may not request a formal interview after their evaluation. Personally, I'm still waiting on other schools so I'm not sure I want to commit early.

I did ask if we are offered early admission, is that our only opportunity to accept; or if we deny early admission we able to go through the formal interview process. I feel like the answer is obvious but I never think it hurts to ask! I'll likely go through the regular interview process.

For those who got the EAO, are you planning on attending or are you waiting on other schools too?

@Neonnnn Thank you for letting us know what you heard back! I am waiting for the UCLA MECN program's decision. We are supposed to hear back by end of February, however in past years it sounds like they have mostly heard in the first couple of weeks of the month. I read the guidebook for EAO day and it sounds like we have 2 weeks to accept the offer and put down a $500 deposit after we hear back about a formal acceptance. And we are supposed to hear back within 2 weeks of EAO day. So sounds like we don't really have to commit early. To me it seems like it makes sense to just go through with EAO day because you then basically get two chances.

I have yet to receive an email, but congrats to all who did. I just emailed ----------------------- on a status. Hopefully I get a decision soon.

Hi all,

Just now joining this thread. This is my second time applying to Western! I applied Fall of 2019 for Fall 2020 application and made it to an alternate status list (so I made it to an interview and was not rejected but placed on a “wait list”). I haven’t heard anything yet so am kind of bummed but am really hoping I get in this application cycle.

Im sorry, I know that can be frustrating. Hoping for the best! I haven't heard anything yet either. I tried calling/emailing .....

For those who received an EAO Day invitation, which day (1/28 or 2/4) did you all choose to attend? Also, I wonder if these 2 days are the only days for EAO that we can choose from?

I RSVP'ED for 1/28! I'm super nervous and am not sure what exactly to prepare. Looking at past threads, it seems that they only ask for a basic introduction, why you want to be a nurse, and why WesternU. Even that alone makes me scared. BEST OF LUCK TO ALL OF US!
