I, being the impatient person that I am, decided to make a thread to discuss the upcoming cycle of applications for Western University of Health Sciences, Masters of Science in Nursing Entry program.
A little about me, my undergrad is a B.S. in Public Health, but I always was interested in the nursing field. After getting my CNA license I decided that this was the field for me and want to eventually go on to become a Nurse Practitioner. I've been working on my application and I'm very nervous/excited to hear back (even though that seems forever away haha). Anyone else applying for this cycle, and if so what are your thoughts on the program??
I want to make sure I’m seeing this correctly- we have to get the TB test twice, right?
I am doing the 2-step TB test where they inject you on your first appointment and 48 hours later you go back and they read your results! You don't need to do this twice.

On the Health Clearance forms it states: "TB PPD skin test. If you have not had 2 separate TB (PPD) skin tests completed within the past year, then 2 separate TB (PPD) skin tests at least 10 days apart from the 1st PPD being administered is required." So if you haven't had 2 separate TB skin tests in the last year, you will need to do the TB skin test twice (at least 10 days apart).

Thank you for this information! I think the reason I only have to do 1 test is because my Doctor saw that I had one test done a few months ago! So 2 tests are needed than! Sorry for the misinformation.
Does anyone know if the facebook page for our cohort has been created? I was told that it's usually through word of mouth and I'd really love to meet you all at least virtually before the school year starts!

The FB page for our cohort has not been created yet. It usually gets created around orientation time when the complete list of all our classmates is available. I’d love to meet everyone too!! I’m excited to start ?

Hello friends. Did you receive the email from the university bookstore? They sent out information (to our university email) regarding student white coats/ name badges, etc.....Does it say how long it takes for the coats to ship? Anyone know? Maybe I missed that part.

Where did you see this? I tried to log in into my edu email using Google but it keeps saying that "the credentials you provided cannot be determined to be authentic." Am I missing something? ?

I think you have to re-authenticate. The authenticate is only valid for a short period (like 21 days).

It said that it would be available for pick up on the first day of orientation at the bookstore!
