I just submitted my application and wanted to start a thread for this year's application cycle. Through this thread we can lend each other advice, support, updates, and/or questions!

A little about me... I recently completed my undergraduate studies and realized nursing was my true passion. I went from pre-med --> pre-dental --> pre-PA and now I'm here! I'm super excited to have applied because I feel life I've finally found what I want to do with myself. I also barely found out that accelerated Master's programs in Nursing exist.

I read last year's thread and it said that people receive an email saying their "application has been forwarded to the admissions department" or something like that. Did anyone who applied already receive this email yet?

Aww, thank you for letting me know! I guess I only have to wait a couple more days or so to find out. I'm thinking I was given a longer estimate of time as to when the emails would be sent out because I literally called the day they got back in the office lol.

They told me in person at Preview Day that they do not factor in when the application was submitted. Admissions repeated this statement to me over the phone as well. They will still review the entire application as a whole.

Thank you for your helpful advice! I didn't end up submitting late thank goodness. I submitted on October 13th I believe.

Just got an email today for an interview! Only date available is next Thurs Jan 31 though. Was hoping for more dates, but I guess I will have to make this work lol.

For those of you who have gotten an invite but have not yet gone to your interview, when you log into your application portal does your status say submitted or does it say something else?

I have yet to receive an email as well. Has anyone asked what's going on? I do know they received quite a large amount of applicants, even more than last year. It's likely they could just have had so many applications that they are behind. Trying to stay positive!

Has anyone else received an email? It worries me that the only interview left is next Thursday... they should have let us know by now if that is the case ?. Has anyone talked to admissions? Maybe they still have emails to send out?

When I log into my portal it just says submitted. Then when you click on the application to go into it, it shows a section called "your interview"

I think they most likely still have emails to send out so I wouldn't get discouraged! For some reason that Jan 31 date was the only one available to me. But I was informed that the interview invitation/interview period is supposed to go all through Jan and Feb.

Hey everyone! For those of you that are going/have gone to EAOD, I'm told that they typically send out an email correspondence approximately 2 weeks from your respective EAOD date. So, don't freak out! Best of luck to us all ?

I noticed on their website that there are still interviews for 02/11,02/22, and 02/25

I had an interview a few years ago but did not get in. Did not even get an interview last year. Seems like the applicants are more competitive each year. Still haven't heard back this year. Finger crossed

Ahhhhh thanks for the heads up! Hopefully, everything turns out in our favor. I'm like anxiously waiting for the email already haha ?

So I spoke to someone from WesternU and they told me that apparently they didn't end up sending out interview invitations for February dates on Friday. I don't know when they will but I have called the admissions people multiple times and they tell me a certain day and it doesn't happen. So I guess we just have to be patient. ?
