U.S.A. California

Published

Hi all,

I'm new to allnurses and haven't seen a thread on Western yet for 2015. Just wanted to start it to see who else is applying so we can all give each other moral support!

I saw that every year the application deadline is postponed? Do you think it will be happening this year as well?

Coycoy congrats to you as well. Early acceptance means you guys have been selected by university and all you have to do is say yes and you arr in

Really?! 100% of people who got the invitation are in? Or just a good amount..?

And congrats to everyone who got the email for the Early Acceptance Opportunity Day as well! I can't wait to meet you all. ?

I am pretty sure that you guys are in. but if you want i can confirm with university on 11 December. how does that sound?

So my classmate informed me that it means that your chance of getting is very very high.

Thanks for all the info bro.nurse! If confirming is possible, that would definitely settle some of these nerves - thanks for all your help! I can't wait to meet everyone as well!

Bro.nurse, how do you like the program so far? Can you give a little insight into the post-licensure portion of the program? Also, do you feel that it being web-based will still prepare students to be competent nurses in the field in comparison to other programs that are not web-based? These are just a few questions I have. I really liked Western's program since I attended their Preview Day so it'd be great to know your thoughts on it. :) thanks!!!

yes, that would be great! thank you bro.nurse :)

The pre listened course will give you the knowledge and skills of some one who has a degree of bachelors nursing. I the post listen de period one will improve on clinical skills and knowledge. I have always believed that there is only so much one can learn from books. The best learning occurs in clinical settings.

I will post about early acceptance when I have more info

I received an invite for Early Acceptance Opportunity Day, too! It'll be great to meet you all there. Does anyone know how many applicants will be in attendance that day?

Hey guys! I attended the Early Acceptance Opportunity day last year. I think there were about 15 of us which was apparently the largest group they have had for the early acceptance opportunity day. Your chances of being accepted are very high (not absolutely guaranteed) if you are invited to attend/actually attend. There is the possibility that even if you attend they may still invite you to attend a regular interview day as well if they would like to get to know you a little bit better. They will probably mention that on the day of. It is a great day to meet current students and faculty and learn a lot about the program so I would recommend that you don't miss it if you are invited. It's a really great day that they put together so take advantage and ask as many questions as you can. Congrats to everyone who has heard so far and good luck to everyone else still waiting!

Emu3121 I will take $5 of your tab now ;) lol

I wonder when they're gonna release interview decisions...
