Western University MSN-E 2015 Applicants

Hi all,

I'm new to allnurses and haven't seen a thread on Western yet for 2015. Just wanted to start it to see who else is applying so we can all give each other moral support!

I saw that every year the application deadline is postponed? Do you think it will be happening this year as well?

I called them as well and it looks like they were able to match up my documents as well. Apparently they are behind in schedule this year-round. As long as you turn in your required documents before the deadline you should be fine.

I don't think I'll attend preview day, it would be nice to take a look at the campus and talk to current students and what not. But, I live a few hours away, so its a tad costly to visit.

I submitted my app in sept and all my documents were received beginning of this month. So once everything were received and completed, I received an email two weeks later

Well, hopefully they start reviewing the apps since the application is due today! And yeah I don't think I'm gonna go to the preview day either I'm like 3-4 hours away.

Hi guys! Hopefully you are all relaxing now that the application deadline has passed. I am a current MSN-E student at Western U and we are just finishing up our first semester. Since I was in your shoes last year, waiting for an interview email, I thought I would give you an idea of when things started to happen last year. Most likely you will not hear anything this month. The earliest people heard last year, for the early opportunity day (they pick the students that really stand out and having them in for a different kind of interview day-they've done this in the past but there is no guarantee so you'll just have to wait and see-it's not something they advertise), was mid-December. I think the rest of the interview invites went out sometime early to mid-January and into February. The early opportunity day last year was in mid-January and the other interviews followed in the weeks after. Once you interview they are pretty quick to get back to you. Anyway, hopefully this eases some of the stress of waiting. Good luck to all of you and hopefully we'll see you after the holidays for interviews. Let me know if you have any other questions.
