Hi all,
I'm new to allnurses and haven't seen a thread on Western yet for 2015. Just wanted to start it to see who else is applying so we can all give each other moral support!
I saw that every year the application deadline is postponed? Do you think it will be happening this year as well?
With this many early acceptance day which includes 15-17 people, what are the chances that those who are getting interview get a chance to get in the program? I know not all accepts the offer but still, theres only a certain amount of seats. Which concludes that my chances of getting into the program are pretty darn slim..
My calculations are, around 60+ over qualified students get early acceptance. Its almost gurantee you get in, that's if you were on your best behavior. According to their Q/A page, they interview over 150-200 people. The chances I have to get into the program seems nearly impossible. That's if they continue to have 15-17 people per session in the early acceptance and from previous forums, they all get accepted. Anyone knows the statistics on how many students got in the program through the interview and how many through early acceptance? I would like to make the best out of my time and money. I don't want to waste my time and money to travel to Pomona to only get a 5-10% chance of getting into the program. I may be overly thinking this through, but it's something that I have to face the fact and start compiling my next round of applications, considering western was the only school I applied this year.
On another depressing note, my application is still in review and I contacted them today and they told me it in fact is still in review lolso I think the person with the lowest possible shot here would be me
You have a chance at getting invited to attend the remanding early acceptance day! Don't lose hope!!

Yes the second early acceptance was on the 15th and there were 17 applicants. We were also told that there would be 2 more in February, for a total of 4. You know how they said they would ask early acceptance candidates to formally interview if they felt they had not got to know them well enough, would you say that during your time at early acceptance day "they got to know you?" This is really my top choice, so sorry if I'm asking too many questions :/ but thank you for answering my questions :) I' so happy this blog exists, because it really helps kinda ease people who can be very anxious like myself, lol
