Nursing Students LPN-RN

Published

Hello,

I am interested in pursuing my RN after I have passed my LVN boards exam. I don't know anyone who has attended the school. If you know any information about the school or any school re: LVN_RN (BSN) I would gladly appreciate it!!!

Thanks =)

Hi Darleneisdarlene,

I just graduated 3 weeks ago from WC orange county campus, Last enrollment was this Nov, 2009. All they were able to tell me is that, California Boards eliminated this program for private schools. They still offer BSN program, however they do not honor the LVN credits. So you would have to start from the bottom again!!! Unless you took some college general ed classess already which you can transfer in. I was in shock myself. But honestly this school is fulll of you know what. They forgot to send the Nursing Board our complete info, so some us students already took our boards, guess what we can't even get our results if we Passed or Failed. Just because they mess up. I hate this school, so In way it's better that you did not attend. There are so many unhappy students, trust me. The general ed classes were ok, until you got to Nursing Core classes. It was beyond disorganized, I left with a bitter heart, now they caused more Pain!!!! I am just speaking about OC campus, I heard a lot of students are transfering to Ontario/LA campus, because they are so stressed out/unhappy.

eliana83 what school are you going to start in february? Are you in the los angeles area? Im looking for a lvn to rn program and i have some prequisites done. Let me know thanx

The Orange County campus, I think it is almost full now... go there ASAP.

The last class is not on November, it is on February... I am enrolled for that class. If you graduate on January I do n ot think you are going to make it on time since you need your license in order to apply. The school is vey good and I received a lot of great feedback from some graduates.

Hello,

I am at WCU, just started advanced med surg. Did you go to the Anaheim campus? Is you did, any tips on how I can survive this term? Im freaking out. My email is [email protected]. I appreciate any input.

I sent you an e-mail read it. Don't freak out, it's going to be ok. YES I did attend OC campus!!!

OMG...

This school is ridic...

They wouldn't stop calling me about applying or else I'll lose my spot...

Seriously what type of school is so desperate to constantly call you especially when you already said no...

And try to make it seem like this school is my last resort, please...

When asking if I can go to grad school with this degree...a counselor said, "well if you go to CSULB and transfer to UCI they won't accept some of their courses." I'm like... why are you comparing two schools with one not being WCU. Why did I feel so much pressure from them...Why did I get so many unanswered questions from them...Is this commission based enrollment or something...

Annoying.

was this for the lvn-rn program or their bsn program?

Hi everyone,

Who will attend WCU or who has already. Regardless how bad the school is, I finally realized why they worked us to death!!! I just grad 11-09. Took my Boards Nov 14th, results on Nov18th Passed. Now I landed a great Job as Regional Case Manager for Homehealth/Hospice. They are willing to train, so I was very blessed!!! I guess what ever system WCU uses must work, they do prepare us for the BOARDS and work!!!! So I hate to admit, that I hated this school, I feel it was worth the crying/no sleep/no life!!! Please try your best in school and put all your 100%, honest it is so worth it!!! Any questions please let me know!!!!!:yeah:

How do you think thier bsn program is?

Hi,

I attended LVN-RN Bridge program. BSN is hard as well, more years. Same concept, a lot of work, projects, Papers, careplans, presentations. Test after test. Also HESI exit exams for every term. Honest I have no Idea how much more work the BSN program has, but I know they do prepare you. It's very hard, but if you want it bad. You need to work hard for it. Myself I would cry and 3 hrs a sleep day. There were times I wanted to drop out. So don't be afraid, go for it. Just remember it is hard and you are on your own at times.
