  1. Hello! Has anybody attended the NCLEX reviews with CSHS? i recieved a brochure in the mail, looked up them up on the internet, and asked a few general questions. (They've been around for less than 2 years with a 92% passing rate. They offer 3 days of live review and 3 weeks online question review with 1,000+ questions available. *cshs.edu for more info*) I'm just really curious to see if anyone has passed or tried this review. Thanks!
  2. i just found out my results and i have failed yet again! on top of that i got a fix-it ticket for something stupid. i am EXTREMELY bummed out that i have to go through this process again of picking myself up and staying positive and just do my best. i know i need to just let some steam out since i just found out my results 10 min ago but still... *sigh* anyways, i'm going to get a plan going again on how to approach studying for the nclex-pn. this is what i've got going.. 1. suzanne's plan 2. saunders saunders saunders 3. a live nclex review 4. learning extension? anybody got any ideas or tips or words of encouragement?? im not working i need a job have been trying to get a unit secretary job (socal 626, 714, 909 area).. i need to get myself together. just a mess right now. i will be optimistic after i let out some steam ahhhhhh!
  3. im taking the nclex-pn for the 3rd time may 13 and have been using saunders and rx for nclex success (the college network)... should i use kaplan qbank for this last week? i will hope for the best for everyone as well!!!

I am a self-studier as well. I learned that after going to a Vocational Nursing program (since everything in one year went by so quickly I had to brush up on A LOT of the content material for my nclex). Have you completed the RN program at Excelsior? I just enrolled into TCN and should be starting classes mid May. I'll be taking my LVN boards in 2 weeks then starting the GE portion shortly after. Then going to Indiana State University (online) for the nursing classes. I am a self-studier and have no complaints of getting my BSN for 26-27k compared to going to a school like West Coast University paying 67k w/ONLY an associates. For the convenience and price... My main concern is knowing that all of the classes and degrees be transferrable to any college if I wanted to further my education at any Cal State or University. What are your thoughts on the whole program? I just want to hear from people who have experienced the process.
  5. does anybody know what they're accredidation is? are all classes: ge's (through college network) and nursing classes from indiana state online program TRANSFERRABLE to any other other colleges as if we attended school regularly vs. online.
  6. No I haven't been attended. I've been putting it off as a last resort place for my pre-reqs as its pretty pricey. I am still studying for my NCLEX so I'll figure out what I'll be doing for my pre-reqs. What are you other options?
  7. "I calculated tuition to be 24,500 dollars at Concordia in Irvine and hear on other threads that its 116,000 at West Coast University." is the tuition of 24, 500 with pre-reqs or no?
  8. I RECENTLY FOUND THIS WEBSITE FOR GETTING SCIENCE CLASSES DONE QUICKER.. http://www.integratedscienceprogram.com/science/index.cfm?CFID=5531924&CFTOKEN=77644124 PLEASE CHECK IT OUT AND LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU THINK. IF YOU ARE ALREADY ATTENDING OR HAVE ATTENDED THIS PROGRAM PLEASE LET ME KNOW. THANKS EVERYONE!
  9. Hi, AS many of you out there are trying to find affordable bridge programs.. Does anyone have any suggestions on ANY programs? I have gone to a private college for LVN program and spent 24k and DO NOT want to shell out 60-100k JUST for ADN. THANKS EVERYONE!! HAPPY NEW YEARS =)
  10. Does anybody know how the curriculum schedule for WCU is like? I am looking into the LVN-RN program. Thanks!
  11. despite the massive amounts of money it will to get ur bsn at wcu... do you know if the teachers are good and if you want to transfer our of there with your rn to an rn-bsn bridge program are the credits tranferrable? i was thinking of going to westcoast for rn (maybe) then csuf (fullerton) for the bridge program (rn-bsn)
  12. after you graduate having clinical experience and lecture you might want to try being a caregiver.. you can also ask check with your nursing dept at school what jobs might be available. i would just have a resume ready =)
  13. yeah is this helpful for pn as well? if so i will add to my collection of books!
  14. will do.. THANKS =)
  15. i guess no matter what it IS better safe than sorry.. i guess from being in school working in a clinical setting from not seeing that to seeing the drs pull out their pdas it was just new to me. everyone benefits either way.. THANKS!!!
