  1. I did not work for almost 18 months of the program, I took the bridge from LVN to RN. For the BSN it's a bit longer/ some people are working/ depends how well you take test and remember the subject. For myself it took longer. What ever you do, just go for it. The longer you wait, the longer to reach your goal.
  2. Hi, well the school has some what a bad reputation. The reason which during the time I attended made no sense. They really work us to death, the reason is they really prepare you. They make you think like RN with a BSN. Trust me this will help, so much. If you want to land a good paying job. Yes I had my LVN and bridge for my RN. They will take your transfers/as long as they have not expired within the 5 year marker. Which will be a bit cheaper on the program. Honest I really hated this school, but now I understand why they prepared us!!!
  3. Hi, I can only speak for LVN-RN Bridge program, I paid 64,k when I was in school. I know the price went up for Bridge program. Now for RN BSN Program it's a bit expensive. The pay is a lot more than the LVN, I can tell you that for sure!!!! Of course more responsibilites, I use to think that LVN's and RN's do the same work. No WAY!!!, RN's critical thinkers, not just hands on like LVN's do. It's a whole different dynamics, you have to go beyond the picture. For myself, I am glad I took the step from moving from LVN to RN. What ever you persue, please keep in mind, that's not all about the money. It's about making a difference here on earth, what you can do!!! For the program, I went full time. I had to take all my classes, it was hard/I cried a lot/slept very little. But it was so worth it!!!!!
  4. I am so happy for you. Please understand that the coorifice is going be a bit difficult, just hang in there. Try to stay away from the negative people please. Watch your back always choose the groups that are strong and get things done. Obtain the Saunders RN comprehensive book, it will help so much. When you get into the nursing classes just let me know and I can guide you. Best luck to you, just remember when things get really hard/you can not take it anymore. Just think about becoming a RN.!!!!!!!!!!
  5. Hi, You need to call and find out, I live here in california. So we get our results 3-4 working days, if you passed. Like I posted last quote, I tried the trick and my good friend. It would not let us continue, it blocked us. So we both passed. You need relax, I know it's the most horrible feeling waiting!!! Or else it will make U so sick!!! Just keep on checking the BOARD site, early in am. For some reason, it post after midnight. The reason I am telling you this is that our friend called me at 5:00am to let me know I passed. So keep an eye on it
  6. Darlene, Hey I think this might be another alternative Chaffey College http://www.chaffey.edu/inst_programs/index.shtml They have ADN program, look at the site!! I think you need a GPA 3.0 above, check it out. Also Mount St. Mary's and also Azusa Pacific University!!! Which you already have BSN, these school will take you!!!
  7. Did you call WCU, see they can still take you for LVN-RN bridge Feb 2010 class? Or take your pre req at community college, so you can get in to the BSN. I Know your in a bind, however this might be the only alternative. I really don't know any other schools, unless Community College. Which is a JOKE!!! The waiting game. Also do not get scam with College Network, I was ripped off with school. Lost $5000.00. Avoid this please. See what WCU wants`maybe you can still get in, try!!!
  8. Hi all test takers!!! Here's the scoop!! I took my boards on Nov 14th, results on the 18th. Long weekend to wait!! Anyways, if you long in to register with Pearson Vue and it let's you. Not a good Sign. If it blocks you, you passed. The reason I am posting this is, that myself shut down at 85 my friend at 200. We both tried this and PASSED!!! So if you can try it!!!. For RN post 3 working days, LVN 2-3 weeks depends was State. I live here in California!! Any questions, let me know. Good luck to all the TEST TAKERS. You can do it!!!
  9. Hi, I attended LVN-RN Bridge program. BSN is hard as well, more years. Same concept, a lot of work, projects, Papers, careplans, presentations. Test after test. Also HESI exit exams for every term. Honest I have no Idea how much more work the BSN program has, but I know they do prepare you. It's very hard, but if you want it bad. You need to work hard for it. Myself I would cry and 3 hrs a sleep day. There were times I wanted to drop out. So don't be afraid, go for it. Just remember it is hard and you are on your own at times.
  10. It was a scam with College Network!!! Do not sign with them, I tried to take there test, never passed. So I enrolled here in Calif with WCU, just graduated from RN school Nov 09, Passed my Boards on 18th for My RN. I myself could not get out of the contract, lost $5000.00 with College Network!!!! RUN!!!!
  11. Hi everyone, Who will attend WCU or who has already. Regardless how bad the school is, I finally realized why they worked us to death!!! I just grad 11-09. Took my Boards Nov 14th, results on Nov18th Passed. Now I landed a great Job as Regional Case Manager for Homehealth/Hospice. They are willing to train, so I was very blessed!!! I guess what ever system WCU uses must work, they do prepare us for the BOARDS and work!!!! So I hate to admit, that I hated this school, I feel it was worth the crying/no sleep/no life!!! Please try your best in school and put all your 100%, honest it is so worth it!!! Any questions please let me know!!!!!
  12. Hi, I live here in California, it's been hard too. I just graduated from RN program and was LVN before. I am getting more job offers as LVN than RN. Just send your Resume on Career Builder, Monster, I am telling you, it works. Try agency also, it's not the best. Now I am getting calls, I just prey that I land a job as RN. Don't give up, some times we have to push a little more. I was even considering moving out of the state!!!!
  13. hi, i just graduated nov 2nd took my test on nov 14, results on 18th, passed. i was told by our school, that it is best to take the test asap!!!! remember that the boards close for the holidays, just keep on checking the pearsonvue site for any cx, i did!!! go for it!!!! good luck
  14. Hi there, Good for you, I hope everything works out for you. I am glad I finished WCU, It was hard however, you do pass your Boards. I did!!!!!! I rather spend time studyingk, than doing nothing at all. I reached my Goal to become an RN and I did. Just hang in there, it is accelerated course, and a bit crazy. But don't let that stop you!!!!!!
  15. yeah it is!!!!, however if you are lvn it's the shortest way possible to get your rn. i did, even if i hated wcu oc campus. but what can you do, sit around waiting for community college. i waited 5 years, no luck. so now obtain my rn. i guess all the campus for wcu, have problems. but they do have a high pass rate for the boards. !!!
