West Central Technical College

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Hello all! This is my first post, and I just had a question. I'm applying to the ADN program at West Central Tech on April 1. I was just curious if anyone knows the average gpa of those that get accepted into the program? Also, I know the average NLN percentiles are in between 80-99, I was wondering if a 96 percentile would be enough to compensate for a less than perfect gpa? The more I think about it, the more nervous I become!:uhoh21: Any help would be appreciated!

Fifth&Fabo,

If you go to my page you can find some information about the program that HopefulRN2010 gave me. Click on my username and that takes you to my page, then you can read the visitor messages. I hope that helps. Enjoy your A&P!

Has anyone received an interview letter yet? I keep waiting for it to come. As soon as i see the mailman pull up I run outside to see if anything from WCTC has come, but nothing so far.:( Good Luck to everyone.

I have not received the letter yet. I have been checking the mailbox as well. I hope we get them soon.

Fifth and Fabo,

Sorry I don't get on here as much as I use to! But I think everyone else answered your questions for me! The hospitals change each quarter, it's just a matter of what hospitals will allow us to be there. The first quarter there weren't any hospitals in the city to choose from, so I chose Tanner Carrollton, but my second quarter I was at Northside. So it all depends on what hospitals they get. Most people, tend to stick with the hospital that is closest to there house, since you do have to be on the floor at 0645! Let me know if you have anymore questions. And good luck in A & P, do you have ms. house??

Hello all!!!

Thanks for all your responses. The schedule sounds like something I could really get used to, since right now I am up at 6am, and go to bed at 1 or 2 am........ hahaha! I really do love the A&P class. I have Mrs. E. Most don't like her...I love her. She's realistic. A lot of the people in my class have a reality check to get used to...and she's good for that. I'm sad that the choice of hospitals is not what is "used" to be, but hopefully Northside will be there when I FINALLY get in. I pray for each of you every day. It's almost as if I watch for the mailman for you!! Please let us know as soon as you find out.

Have a great quarter....ALL OF YOU!!!

Im still waiting on a letter also. I went and tried to sweet talk my advisor and she told me that they were planning on sending the letters out at the end of next week or the beginning of this coming week. So hopefully we will all get then this coming week. I am the same way as you guys. I come home at lunch just to check the mail. lol. Good luck

I finally got the interview letter that I've been stalking the mailman for. When I saw that it was from the school i couldn't stop my hands from shaking. When I opened it as I read the beginning I thought it was a rejection letter but it was indeed my interview time. I am so happy. I can't stop smiling.:) Now I just have to prepare for the interview:eek:. Im sure i'll see everyone there. Good Luck

Awesome! When is your interview? Mine is this Monday the 27th between 9am-12pm. There is a group of 12 that will have that same time. Are you in that group?

Yeah, I am nervous too!!But in a good way. It will be in a bad way about the time I walk into the room for the actual interview!!

No. I'm not in that group but I wish I was so i could just get this over with and not have to stress about it anymore. My interview is Monday May 4th between 1-4p.m. but let me know how your interview goes.I'm sure you'll do great.

Yellow, I will give you a detailed heads-up on my interview and the entire process! If I don't die from nervousness in the meantime,ha,ha!

I also got my interview letter today. :)
