Just hit 'submit' on the last bit of required documentation. Six years ago, the highest degree in nursing that I held was an AAS. Today, I am MeanMaryJean, DNP.

Wow.. I'm beyond impressed! How on Earth do you accomplish so much in only 6 years. I'm exhausted just thinking about it. Congrats to you. You are indeed a superstar!

Here's my timeline (your mileage may vary).
March, 2010 - My 55th birthday. I held an AAS, a BS in Liberal Arts (don't judge), and decided I could turn 58 with OR without that BSN. Started looking for schools.
September, 2010 - enrolled in the RN-to-BSN program at WGU.
February, 2011 - Completed BSN
May, 2011 - enrolled in MSN Ed at WGU
April, 2012 - Completed MSN
March, 2015 - enrolled in 1 year, intensive DNP program at Touro Nevada, which i just completed.
Here's the best part: Total out of pocket to me (minus $3500 tuition reimbursement and $9000 scholarships) = $10,500!
Next best part: I'm still 60 (for three more weeks)
