Hah those are the typical syllabus. Mine were usually 60+ pages per class. But really a lot of it is fluff and stuff you won't care about. It's not that bad at all.

Specializes in Med Surg/MICU/Pediatrics/PCICU.

Wow are's are about 5 pages and we can print them along with powerpoints and everything else we need at the school for free :)

What makes their syllabus different than the standard school syllabus? You know, show up for class at such and such time, office hours are whenever, tests are every five weeks or whatever, blah blah blah.

our syllabus is placed on 'blackboard', an online site that accompanies the college experience. they post the syllabus, we print it out, and it's all for free. i do attend a community college though, and my program is only 4,000$, so it is not a for profit school or anything.

my syllabus is 131 pages.

Ok... That scares me! :lol2:

Lol...awesome. Welcome to nursing school!

Our syllabus was pretty long, but not that long. Maybe like 25-30 Pg. But we didn't have to pay for them. Are you attending private school or something?

We haven't gotten a syllabus yet, I don't think its even posted on Blackboard yet. I do know that I once stumbled upon some transcripts from my college's board meeting and it was suggested that instead of having any kind of handouts, all the material should be bound together and sold in the bookstore.

I just think that is ridiculous. I mean, schools are making a killing off their students yet they don't want to have to foot the bill for HANDOUTS. Come on.

I also took my CNA class at this same college and our instructor was having to sneak around and print copies of our study guides. Luckily, one of the students worked at a print company and started doing all the copying for the class there.

Again, ridiculous.
