Which I had to pay for!!!! All three of them were around $55. I almost changed my major after seeing the clinical syllabus.
Ours is 70 pages and only cost $4.50...thanks goodness :) Check out your school library, we get 15 bucks a semester to use for printing from our school library and each page is 10cents, so I plan to print 150 pages worth of power points for our library before I use my home printer :), every penny counts!!
At my school, the syllabus and the class notes come together in a package like that, and includes the clinical hand outs for each class, too. You can charge them to financial aid if you get it, but we don't get to charge until one week before school, so I always buy mine (so that I can get organized and look ahead at what we will be learning). I just bought mine the other day, and the pediatrics notes were about that thick. The med surg notes were almost that thick, and then my psych notes were tiny, because he has you print out everything for his clas as you go along. I personally would rather buy all the notes and save the wear and tear on my printer, but that's just me.
Yes, I started freaking out when I bought mine, too. But at least I can go ahead and start on my reading (in the books I already have), and I know what to expect from this semester.

Is that for the whole program or just the first semester? We do not have to pay for ours but do have to print it out. Mine is 60 pages for the first semester so far (4 semesters total) and I'm sure there will be more, so I can see if yours is for the whole programs duration why its so large. It should be included in your regular fees though, but every school is different.
