Hey Future RN's & LPN's,
I haven't seen a group established for us!!! I wish everyone much success on their exam! For me I will be taking it for a 2nd time!! Please leave prayers, advice and words of encouragement to everyone in this group!:heartbeat
my score before are from low 50% , but im not stop reading content and last 2 weeks i purchased kaplan course . watch all the videos and reading some books i got score mid 50% to mid 60%. so while answering questions if im tired im read my ABC in passing the board exam by R.A. Gapuz , it's like summarize of everything to freshen up your mind.
All September test takers goodluck to all of us. Stay positive always! I'm also using saunder's, lacharity, lippincott, prentice hall, nclex cram, and ncsbn. Hopefully it'll aid me in my study. And I wish all of us sept. test takers are going to pass this test. Let's stay positive and keep studying!
Alright, I found out that I for sure will be taken Nclex not in August, but it will be in September. Still waiting for my ATI or ATT thingy, forgot what it is called again. I just took one week off from studying and my lord I feel like I forgot everything!!! Maybe its just nerves with getting closer now.
Hi other September NCLEXers
I was just reading through and catching up on some new posts on this forum, but I really think I just need to STOP reading everything. It's making me nervous to read other people's posts!! Especially the ones that say: NEVER use Saunders, it's too easy---- because that's been my primary source of study material!!
I just was so shaken after failing, that I am so unsure of myself regarding whether or not I'm studying enough or using the right materials or thinking the right way. I just really, really, really want to be successful this time and I don't know if I'm studying the right way for me.
Does anyone else find that the conflicting advice on this board can be really confusing?? Or does anyone else feel really unsure if you're doing the right thing?
Yes reading other people post is sometimes very disheartening:crying2:. So I try to take them as face value and know that my situation is different! Any NCLEX book is a good source I believe its how you consume the information within it!:wink2:. Don't let other post get you down! All of us will get through this rather it takes 1,2,3 times ect. The main focus is that we didnt give up!
I agree with the above. I believe as long as you study and you learn content you should be fine. Do not let other posts confuse you. I think everyone learns differently. I loved Kaplan, but I also love Saunders. Other people passed who used simiiar resources. We all will get through this one way or another!!!
in.the.middle i would have to agree with ujones00 and susanne. people are different learners...some learn one way, some need a diff way. do what you feel works for you and stick with it. but i agree that sometimes reading things makes you doubt your studying and what not but remember to stick with it and believe in yourself and soon enough we will all pass and this will be a thing of the past!
as far as my studying the first time around i really only used kaplan because i thought since it worked for so many people it had to work. well it didn't and this time ive used saunders and ncsbn to provide me content as well as questions and again using kaplan and lacharity. i do like the variety of questions from diff companies because i feel that it is preparing me for the nclex. and this time around i am feeling more confident in both answering questions but also having the content to back it up.
figure out what worked for you the first time and add too it so you improve and become more confident!
is hogan the prentice hall book? i think that's what ive read but yeah i used that book for medications because i thought it broke them done nice and simply! how do you like hurst? i decided to redo my kaplan jut because i thought the nclex was similar to kaplan but also like ncsbn questions! i find it easy&challenging at the same time!
Hello everyone, I failed the RN NCLEX for the first time on August 13th. It really hit me hard. I passed my LPN NCLEX the first time around and I used the same study plan. I now know that I should have did more questions and studied more content. I probably won't retest until Oct. or Nov. and I will make sure that I am really ready the next time. The fee to retest just doesn't grow on trees. I wish they would give some kind of discount for having to retest like the review courses provide. I can also testify that the trick does work. I tried to register as soon as 2 hrs after my test and it allowed me to go to the credit card page. I know that we all will pass. We just have to keep praying and stay positive.:flwrhrts:
