If you take the Nclex end of August, you can study meds, by using the Kaplan book. I do every day one of those sections in terms of meds. This way you wont feel so overwhelmed. Good luck to you all. I am not sure if I take mine in August. I think it will be more like September. I have to wait for my grades to be released :( I am ready now to take it...darn it.

i just finished my kaplan class and reading saunder's 4th editiopn+q bank....not doing good in Q bank though..i am like average 48 to 52 % in QBANK....BUT i am not worried about that coz i know kaplan questions are pretty hard and complex..

i am taking too in aug. i enrolled in ncsbn, i finished kaplan strat, sometimes i answer questions in nclex 4000, saunders, and nclex 3500, i finished saunders book, and sometimes r.a. gapuz abc's, and i just bought prior..delegation..and asess.. by l. charity. and i want to enroll to kaplan but i'm confused if is it really worth it, especiall now few weeks from the test, and any advise if im going to enroll kaplan complete, or qbank or just stick to my study. i got 50%-70% in my pretest.what do you think?

as July is coming to a halt, it would be great if August Nclex support group started. so here i am. i've been a reader of allnurses for some time now, but registered just recently. i was scheduled to take the exam earlier, but i chickened-out, so i moved it to August instead. make that august 11th.

to everyone taking the test on my birthday month, GOOD LUCK, and GOD BLESS! Let's pray that we all make it! although i am not US educated, our Kaplan instructor told us that shouldn't let our "differences" get us down.

Merged for continuity

Hey yall, I'm taking the nclex on Aug 22 at 8am. After pinning we had a live ATI review and they put up about 3500 practice questions online for us to use. I also use the Saunders Comp Review. I kind of slacked off studying after hearing that our ATT's would be delayed-WHOOPS, I could have taken the test today if I had been prepared. I am doing 100-200 questions a day and plan on doing it until I test. Good luck to everyone-We can do it!

How many times are you allowed to take the NCLEX

each state has their own regulation on how many times you can take it. I think in Georgia you have three years to take it you have to wait like 45 to 60 days between tests.

August 4th 8 am.

Here's the plan.

read through the Hurst review book at least once.

answer the day 4 questions

Take the mock nclex once more (but i have to wait to take it, i have a really good memory, so i know i'll just remember the right answers)

take the test. I know everyone gets all willied up around here, but i'm not scared of this test!

I thought I would be taking the NCLEX in July, but now I am hoping for August. There were some issues at my school and now I have to wait for some additional paperwork to go through with the MO BON. I've been reading from my Saunders Comprehensive every day, writing note cards, and doing some flash cards. I also read a Kaplan book and will review it again before the test. I plan on doing as many practice questions as I can find. I have horrible text anxiety but I keep trying to think happy thoughts and concentrate my best.

I'm just really worried it will take forever to get my ATT and I already feel like my memory isn't as fresh since graduating in May :-/

Good luck everyone!

As long as you do not sit doormat and you continue to do questions and study you should be fine. I think most people who have trouble with waiting on taking their test are those who stop studying and then start up again four weeks prior. If you coninously study every day for a few hours you should be fine. You do have to work on your anxiety level. If your anxiety does not calm down it may hinder you. Feel confident, you are doing the work and you should be just fine.

august is near. good luck to our batch :) ..may we all make it!!

update us, august-warriors! lol.
