THERE’S NO PLACE LIKE HOME!!

There's no place like home.

Sorry I just lost my whole post. I cannot view the desktop version on my phone like I used to and therefore I cannot see a lot of things (ie the down arrow to jump to first unread post in the thread)

You are seeing the right version on your device. There is no option to view "Desktop Version".

The layout of the page is dependant on device vewport size.

But it says it right there “Request desktop site” in the bottom left corner of the second screen shot...

once I clicked that with the old site I would be able to view the complete site not just the mobile site. Now I CANNOT do that. worked fine before the upgrade so I don’t understand why it wouldn’t now?

You are seeing exactly what people see on desktop when their viewport is small. (Resize window in Desktop and you'll see what I mean.)

Essentially, you are SEEING the desktop version.

I have a Note 9 so my screen is pretty large, and I can switch to Desktop View but then I don't see the stream options...

Ahhhh, I see now.

@DextersDisciple this probably applies to you as well.

I'll dig more into this but it's likely the device is changing user agent. (eg. the browser tells the site that it's a desktop vs mobile device)

NOTE: This may take a while.

@mtmkjr ok, the more I think about this the more I know it's a bug with you. The links should appear at the top. It's not. Note 9 apparantly has a wide resolution. It's likely a js issue. I'll look into this.

@DextersDisciple on the other hand is ok. The device/site is working as intended. The difference with his device is that he doesn't have a wide resolution on his device.

My main point is I have not changed a single thing on my phone in between the site update: so I do not think it’s my phone.

This!! is what I used to see on my phone when I hit “request desktop version”.

Sorry if this has been asked before---is there a reason that you've stopped making posts from the OP in a thread a different background color so they're quickly identifiable? It's a little thing but I like it.

That is something that is being discussed here @LibraSunCNM: https://allnurses.com/post-background-shading-t693751/ ?
