Welcome to the Forum - General Aussie Chat

World Australia

Published

Having been guilty myself of hijacking threads saying hello and just chatting to my fellow Aussies I thought it might be worthwhile for us to have a thread that is just dedicated to general Aussie chat. We can then discuss issues like the Morris - oops Davis inquiry in Queensland and what it will mean for Q health and for the rest of Australia.

We can talk cricket, sport and anything else that is just us.

Say hello to new members dropping by.

Generally find out what is happening in the rest of the country.

I will make this thread a "sticky" so that it will always be at the top of the forum.

back in the "old days" :D we'd use:

blue for temperature.

black for pulse.

green for resp.

red for b/p.

but, that was a loooonnnngggg time ago! :uhoh3:

those multi-colour pen makers made a fortune! :lol2:

We use a graphic charting method, where the temp and pulse are separated on the chart. I do document temps over 38.5 in red, but that's not universal. I wish more people got how much easier it is to see trends when they're graphed, rather than written in as numbers...

Does anyone have opinions about the quality of teaching by School of nursing in USyd and nursing school in UTS SYD? I'm accepted into UTS but was hoping to study with USyd as its advance course doesn't have summer semesters in compared to UTS.

Sorry, all Melbourne at my end, but BUMP in case anyone in NSW has an opinion.

You could also check out the Good Guides for reviews from students (but I think that requires payment).

they teach us the right way, the way it was done 20 years ago, however when we go out into the big bad world, there are many different ways, thank god i can adopt fast :):nurse:
