Weird Interview...What do you think?

I just had a phone interview today for what I thought was a unit manager position at a local LTAC. The HR lady that did the interview told me somethings that freaked me out!!! Among them are that the facility got 2 IJ tags this past summer, turnover is really high, they have fired 2 DONs in the last year and one ED, she said they had 2 years of really terrible surveys, she said the owners are really behind the scenes and not really involved, morale is low (but they are working on it!) and on and on and on! She also said that the benefits are getting cut to: you will receive PTO after working there for one year and then only receive 1 week, no sick time, they pay for 30% of a health plan, and you get your birthday off. Wow!!! She totally discouraged me from wanting to work here. Tell me your thoughts....especially about the benefits. I come from a place now where I get 4 weeks a year and they pay 90% of my benefits. Your thoughts????

Yeah, don't work there. It's not worth it. You can find a job with better benefits.

The only way I would consider such a job is if I were desperate and new it was only a temporary thing to put food on the table while I looked for another job.

Now you have something to be thankful for next week. Be thankful that the recruiter was honest and didn't suck you in by giving you a false picture of the place.

I wish you all the luck in the world in finding a better job. Unfortunately, this is not a good time to be job hunting.

Wow. That recruiter did you a HUGE favor!

What's an IJ tag?

IJ is an immediate jeapordy tag.

Run don't walk away from that organization......

It sounds like the HR lady is ready to look for employment elsewhere, she must be totally fed up with the place!!!

Runnnnn :down::down::down::down:

...and why again do you want this job??

Sounds like she might be venting some of her own frustrations about the place, but be thankful that she was truthful. You can't say that she tried to lure you in, that's for certain. Imagine taking the job and then finding out all the rest the first week you're on the job. She did you a favor.

I would not pursue that organization. Sounds way too risky!!:down:

I think yo should send her a "Thank-you" note for her candor.

I think she did you a huge favor, no wasted time or gas on this one.... NEXT PLEASE !!!!!
