I am just curious as to how many of you get paid a weekend differential, more pay for working weekends.
Not a weekend package, just your scheduled weekend.
I was curious to the amount of the differential, and general location.
I would like to see nurses where I work get this.
Also do you get call in pay?
Thanks for any responses.

We get $6 per hour for weekend work. We aren't on-call but if they were short and called me they would offer premium pay (time and 1/2) as an incentive to get me to come in and work.

I don't have the exact amount... weekend days we get about 1.50/hour, evenings ~3.50/hour, nights 4.50/hour. We don't get any additional pay for extra shifts work.

By contract, we get $4.00 an hour for weekends. If you're on/call and get called in it's time and and a half, based on your base pay, plus shift differenctial, which is different for each shift. The $4.00 is NOT part of the time and a half.

On my last job, the weekend pay was $8.00 per hour and the off shift diff was $3.30 per hour all week. This topped all other hospitals in the area. There was a $3.00 per hour raise across the board raise 2 years ago because 20 RN's left for a considerable sign-on bonus at another hospital. See what drives the raises, etc? Get it? If nurses all worked together, see the possibilities? We do not control our market and we are the largest group of healthcare providers in the country.

No weekend shift differential (we have to work both Sat and Sun every other weekend) and no extra shift differential or bonus. Only 1 1/2 pay if overtime. We also get major number of call outs during weekends

$4/hr weekend differential
Incentive pay for short shifts is $6.25/hr
On call pay is $2/hr. If called in, you still get on-call pay for the hours you are called in, plus time and a half, and one hour of base pay for travel compensation.
