Hi! Who is applying to Weatherford for the spring 2011 semester?
I took the TEAS yesterday and didn't do as well as I was hoping. I am going to retake it and hopefully then I will have 18 or 19 points. It seems that the point system has changed and is only 23 possible points now, rather than 26.
I really don't know if 18 or 19 will be enough, but I haven't completed Micro so that is going to hurt me. I figure it is worth a try though! You can't win if you don't play! lol.
So who else is applying? How many points does everyone have?
formack,
This is really a great place with lots of good people. You will love it here! I have to ask, why didn't you apply to TCC? With their new facility? I'm still in A&P II, so it wasn't an option for me.
From what little I could hunt down, historically on allnurses, alternates have started getting calls at the end of April. And yes, it has gone all the way till the Friday prior to class starting. But looking at it logically, it would seem like people would start getting calls the week of April 18th.
Ok, I sure will. I didn't apply to TCC because I didn't have my algebra finished. As a plus, the nursing staff has been so nice and helpful at WC and TSU. I cannot say the same for my experience at TCC. I took all of my re-reqs at TCC; so I didn't think about going anywhere else at first. Since I had to wait and finish up my math, I took all the extra pre-reqs that Tarleton requires.
Have any of you taken the lifespan class at WC? That is the only other class I need and want to take it over the summer rather than try to take it with the nursing courses. I looked at one of the teachers on ratemyprofessor that teach the class online, but it says that it is a LOT LOT of writing assignments and not to take it online, that its better to take it in the classroom from her. There is one other teacher that teaches it online, but there was only review of her.
I took it at tcc northwest campus over the summer. It was one of the best classes I have taken in my college career and the best prof. On top of that it was EASY. I think I made a 100. If you are interested in taking it there let me know and I will pm you the teachers name.
I took Lifespan at NW also (during Summer I 2009). If we happened to take the same professor, she was awesome! And it was a very interesting class as well.

Oh and FYI. I have a friend who applied at TCC and WC. She had a 4.0 and like an 84 or 95 Teas. She got into WC; but if she gets in to TCC...she will be going there. She lives in Arlington, so it is much closer for her. So, that may be a spot that we alternates might have a grab at!!
