Hi everyone. Just wanted to start a post for the 2015 Associates degree of Nursing Fall program at Weatherford College and see who else will be applying!
I have 31 points before my TEAS. I probably wont be taking it for a couple more months. I've finished all of my pre and co requisites and have my 15 hours of BSN credits so I'm super excited to finally be able to apply :)
I wonder what the point cut off will be this semester? I'm hoping to get at least 6 points off my TEAS but 8 would be great! Comment if you're applying this upcoming semester! Cant wait!
I am curious too about financial aid for the ADN program. I have been able to cover TCC, but I will need to take out loans for the ADN program as the cost will obviously be more than I have been paying PLUS I am going to have to put all three of my kiddos in daycare/afterschool care. I am a little worried about how much of a "negative income" I am going to be for my household for two years.
Since we are talking hypotheticals here :) I should be up 3 points after this spring semester, I am hoping to bump up my TEAS since I was right on the borderline of getting a few more points, and if everything works out we should be moving to parker county which would give me those awesome residency points!!!

I'm a little worried about that too. I am using the 9/11 GI Bill so I know that my tuition will be covered, but they usually only give me a $125 book allowance per class. Books for the first semester is $1,700!! I better start saving now just in case. I'm currently in the Mid-Cities and moving to Weatherford this month. Thankfully childcare is cheaper. I only have one, but I'll be saving $240-300 a month.

Books were actually a LITTLE bit less than that this semester (around $1300 from the book store and around $1200 if your ordered from the publisher....i don't remember the exact numbers off the top of my head)....not a HUGE difference but every little bit counts....as for financial aid....I do student loans to cover my tuition....so it's a definite option to help cover costs
We are looking at moving to Parker county in the next couple of months so I was just curious for next admittance period if need be when they usually look at that. I am glad to hear that it is on the front end of the application period instead of before the program start date. Just to keep things fair.

In the past it's always been if you don't use the full Pell grant, As in you aren't a full time student, then they would let you use any leftover money for summer or winter classes. But it's worth a shot to ask!
