Hi everyone. Just wanted to start a post for the 2015 Associates degree of Nursing Fall program at Weatherford College and see who else will be applying!
I have 31 points before my TEAS. I probably wont be taking it for a couple more months. I've finished all of my pre and co requisites and have my 15 hours of BSN credits so I'm super excited to finally be able to apply :)
I wonder what the point cut off will be this semester? I'm hoping to get at least 6 points off my TEAS but 8 would be great! Comment if you're applying this upcoming semester! Cant wait!

Hi abbieallen! I too will be applying to the WCC ADN program for Fall 2015. I am going to end up slightly behind you in my points before taking the TEA as I still have one co-req that I will be completing in the Spring. With the new point system I am not sure exactly what we will be looking at for the cut off, but it is worth a shot! And if I do not make it in this application period I will just apply again for the Spring to WCC as well as a few other schools. When are you planning on taking your TEA? I intend to do quiet a bit of studying as soon as this semester is over so that I can get as many points as possible from that. Best of luck to you!

I Got accepted for the spring class so thank goodness I don't have to go through the application process again but 31 points before the TEAS is a good start. I haven't really looked at the new points break down but there are more spots in the fall than the spring and 35 points and up (I think) got in for the spring....if I remember right it was 34 points for the weatherford campus and 32 for the wise county campus last fall....Like I said I don't know how the new points differs from the old but 31 is a good start

Hey guys I won't be applying until this summer which if I understand correctly will lead to acceptance or denial for the Spring 2016 term? That is actually what my question is I am a little confused on time frame and wanted to know if you could help clear it up for me. I will be finishing my A&P 1 and a few BSN track courses this semester which will allow me to apply during the May-June application period that says it is for Spring 2016 so if I were to get accepted I wouldn't start the program until this time next year correct???
Yes! If you apply for the summer application period you will find out if ýou are accepted around october...and start in january
Ok cool beans thanks!
Do you know also if weatherford considers points toward a co-requisite if you will be taking it during the application period but not complete it until after the application period has ended? Example I am applying to the spring 2016 semester this coming summer but won't be taking A&P 2 until fall because I already have a full course load this semester
Classes that are in progress count for the points value that a C would be worth...So if it's 4pts for an A....3 pts for a B....and 1 pt for a C.....you would receive 1 point for A&P2 on your application (and your acceptance would be conditional on you making at least a c in that course...which is required for it to count anyway....if that makes sense). Thats how it has been in the past anyway.....as long as that didn't change with the most recent changes in the points system anyway
Ok thank you I'll try to double check that it hasn't changed it would help a little
Go talk to Karen.....she is really helpful and can tell you exactly how many points you will have and stuff.....I can't imagine that they would change that I just don't want to say yeah! It will count! And then it doesn't :) I haven't read through the new points so I don't want to give ya misinformation :) good luck with your application!
Thanks!
I have not been able to reach Karen yet and then I realized they are in the process of going through current applications and she's probably swamped. I wanted to ask you about the TEAS scoring the points listed for each grade level bracket has a certain set of points are each of those sets of points for a total grade on the test or each section? I'm getting myself confused because the points for the HESI at another program I have looked into are for each section not overall grade.
