Hi everyone. Just wanted to start a post for the 2015 Associates degree of Nursing Fall program at Weatherford College and see who else will be applying!
I have 31 points before my TEAS. I probably wont be taking it for a couple more months. I've finished all of my pre and co requisites and have my 15 hours of BSN credits so I'm super excited to finally be able to apply :)
I wonder what the point cut off will be this semester? I'm hoping to get at least 6 points off my TEAS but 8 would be great! Comment if you're applying this upcoming semester! Cant wait!
I'm so sorry, I just saw this! At Wise County Campus, our first semester we went All day on Tuesdays for HHC (8:00-5:00, I think), We had skills all day on Wednesday from 8:00-5:00, we had clinical on Thursday, in 4-5 hour shifts in long term care facilities (we were at a nursing home) there was a 9 hour block on the schedule but we halved the block, so half of us went 6:30-10:30, then gave report to the next shift of students and left at 11:00, and then they got there at 10:30, got report and then stayed till 3:00. (if that makes sense) Your documentation etc. counts as part of your clinical hours because you have post work. And then we had the half day class on Fridays, (8-12 *ish*, I've forgotten!). This semester we Have HCC all day Mondays (8-5) and during our lunch break, from 12-1, we have our PNC class. This is not normal, it is just because we had some staff/schedule changes so we got it squeezed in. And, our clinical shifts are at Wise Regional (5 of us are at Kindred) and They are either Tuesdays or Wednesdays from 6:30-4:30, including our post conference, and we have all of our post work afterwards. We also have Sims and they have just kind of worked those in on our days off. Our schedule has changed some because of the staff changes. So, we are only on campus, in class one full day and at clinical one full day this semester on most weeks, unless we have sims.
Hey yall. The course schedules are up for the Fall and Im not sure at but if I figured it out right, it looks like the schedule might be something like...Tues- 9-12
Wed- 8-5
Thurs- 6:30-3:30 (clinicals)
Friday- 9-11
I could have very easily messed this up though lol so go easy on me!
looks like
Tues 9-5 (mornings in lecture....afternoons upstairs in lab)
and on our clinicals (first semester we go 6:30-2:30 every OTHER week...alternating group A and group B) so not sure if yall will have clinical EVERY week or alternate
Do they start clinicals immediately or does it start later on in the semester?
we started clinicals on the 3rd or 4th week...I think? lol I'll have to look back and be sure ....it's been awhile but it was fairly early on in the semester....we had six clinical days this semester (today was my 4th...and I have 2 more)
