Weatherford ADN Fall 2015

Published

Hi everyone. Just wanted to start a post for the 2015 Associates degree of Nursing Fall program at Weatherford College and see who else will be applying!

I have 31 points before my TEAS. I probably wont be taking it for a couple more months. I've finished all of my pre and co requisites and have my 15 hours of BSN credits so I'm super excited to finally be able to apply :)

I wonder what the point cut off will be this semester? I'm hoping to get at least 6 points off my TEAS but 8 would be great! Comment if you're applying this upcoming semester! Cant wait!

Yeah I was wondering the same thing about them extending the deadline but am hoping since they already extended it so much that they won't extend it anymore because it seems as though all of us have already turned everything in and are just playing the waiting game now! From what I remember the orientation is held sometime in mid to late July but that could always change cause that was a year ago. Also as far as buying the books and supplies used I'm pretty sure we weren't able to last semester because they are custom. Could totally be wrong so I would not completely rely on this. We should find out a lot more info when we get our packets.

I'm currently a first semester ADN student @wc....just wanted to clarify about the books (so yall can be prepared) You can't buy them used....we get a discounted bundle price from the publisher that includes all of the online accesses you need soooo buying used isn't an option....that was the first thing I asked KL :D I think it was around $1200 through the publisher and 13 something though the bookstore + your skills pack which was around $200....

also all of our vaccinations and stuff had to be completed by a couple weeks before classes (before orientation was preferred) and instructions on completing all of that was included with our acceptance letters

anyway just thought I'd clear up some of the questions cus I remember the waiting game and unanswered questions and it was not fun lol

You are awesome! Thank you so much! I totally stalked your admission group a little while back :) Feel free to share any time! And best of luck to you this semester!

No prob I was totally hoping to be able to buy the books used....I was disappointed to find out it wasn't an option.....and I know it's so much easier to know ahead of time exactly what you have to spend than to find out a few weeks before classes lol I am more than happy to answer anything that I can :D and thank you!

Hey everyone, I thought I had 38 points but Karen confirmed that I have 39 points instead!! I live in Haltom city and I was thinking if I get accepted, I might move to Weatherford. Can anyone tell me what apartments are affordable and close by?

I'm not sure about pricing and quality but I can tell ya whats near by!

These are directly across the street from campus

COLLEGE PARK-Weatherford | Overview

these are right behind the first link I posted...within walking distance

Southgate Glen Apartments | Weatherford Apartments

saddle ridge is probably within a couple miles....maybe 5 minute drive

Saddle Ridge Apartments

I've never priced apartments so I don't really know where they stand price wise.....there are several duplex neighborhoods nearby too.....I'll look at the names next time I'm in the neighborhood and see if they have websites....I'm sure there are more apartment choices too....these are the ones I can think of off the top of my head anyway

Thanks TlizS, hope your semester is going great, you are so kind and helpful.

no prob....glad I can be helpful :D

and thanks...so far so good....a LOT less stressful now that I've found my groove....it's overwhelming at first but once you find your routine it's not bad at all

Are you all applying for ADN program or the lvn to RN transition?

Are you all applying for ADN program or the lvn to RN transition?

I think that the majority of us on here are applying to the RN program.

Hello all,

Haven't been on here for a while but just updating ... I turned in my App before ice storm to KL at WC. She added my points and said although I improved on TEAS V, I will still have the same 32 points going in. that being said, KL said points are looking like 34 is most competitive for WC and 32 for WCWC. I am hoping for the new points thing to sway my direction this time.. I understand that LAST time they made a "points switch" it dramatically lowered points spread. will see...

Good luck! So was she hinting that 34 would be the cut off for the WC campus? Which campus are you applying to?

Was 34 at WC and 32 and WCWC not the cut off last time?
