I created this forum, for us pre-Nursing students, finishing up our prereqs and preparing for the HESI and admittance into the Nursing program for 2015! Let's keep each other motivated and driven. We can do it! Hope to hear from my fellow school mates :-)

Hi kellywcccd2015 did you do the remediation off evolve before you took the exam to brush up on things? Did they extnd he application deadline for the spring 2015 acceptance?

Hey everyone good luck on getting in. I am a nursing student there now and the nursing office has a letter on the door that the deadline has been extended to Oct 27th if you haven't heard yet. I know it's frustrating our deadline was extended too. Again good luck to everyone

Hey All I am a spring 2015 hopeful and they have now extended the deadline until Oct 31st. I was told the selection committee meets the 1st week of Nov no specific date though. Good luck!

I am so upset I missed the spring 2015 admission because I failed the hesi but I am studying to retake it the beginning of 2015

So I'm wondering if classes are held during the summer while in the nursing program?

No, classes are not held in the summer. You will have 2 7.5 week periods a semester but no summer classes. Trust me it is a lot and you will need a break come summer. I always go to school in the summer until nursing school started and I am looking forward to a break

I was wondering how clinical sites are chosen? Also how many days per week are clinical's?

Clinicals sites are chosen on a first come first serve basis at orientation, so get there early because you go in the order in which you sign in. We go to clinicals 2 days a week 6 hours a shift

Good luck to you too mheinz13 and thanks for the info. I am hoping to get into the program for spring 2015 as well. Did they tell you when we should be expecting to hear from them about their decision?

Thanks you too NurseuNurseme!! I called up there this week just to see when the committee met and she told me not until the end of this week, and to expect the letters in a few weeks. Im hoping it's sooner then that though!
