  1. Hello, I will be completing the final capstone for EMU next Summer. How was your capstone experience? Did you have to submit preceptor paperwork 6 months before you started the capstone? Any information you could provide would be appreciated! Thank you!

  4. Hello everyone! This is the 4th week of the semester for me. I'm already missing my freedom . I'll be applying to my schools nursing program next summer for Winter 2017 admission (LORD WILLING). I wish all of you the best of luck this semester and I look forward to being apart of this forum.
  5. How did things go with your CNA exam? I will be taking a CNA course at WCC very soon and I'm interested in your experience on test day. Thanks :)
  6. I became a MA because I was a full time college student at a major university working three dead end jobs. I was already going to school to become a nurse so I knew the medical world was where I was going to be. I wanted to get my feet wet and gain experience before going into nursing completely blind. Needless to say becoming a MA was one of the best decisions I ever made. As an MA I landed a job at one of the country's top hospitals. My employer now pays my tuition for both pre-requisite and core nursing courses. All I can say is God is good. I have gotten job offers as a nurse after I graduate and I will not take my first nursing class until next fall. Know yourself and know your worth. You don't need validation from anyone do you! I know plenty of people who are MA's and Nurses and let's just put it this way their skills are not up to par.
  7. Thank you so much! I can't tell you how much I appreciate you sharing your Hesi experience! I didn't know you could see your score after you finish each section....I'll have to stay calm. Did you get to pick the order in which you took each section? Where all of the questions multiple choice? There is still no built in calculator for the math section right?
  8. SmithC! I wish you the best of luck when you retake the Hesi. I have a few questions... How long did it take to find out if you passed the Hesi? Was the reading comprehension section difficult? What suggestions can you give to others who are studying for the Hesi? How long did you spend studying? Thanks in advance!!
  9. Hello twolittleleaves! How long did you study for the Hesi exam before you decided to scheduled an exam date?
  10. Hello MSNnurse54! Are you still the program coordinator of the RN/BSN program at UM-Flint? I plan to attend WCCCD Nursing program in the Fall of 2015. I would like to know if there are any classes that I can take while enrolled in the nursing program at WCCCD? I would like to earn my BSN degree as soon as possible after I graduate from the nursing program. Thank you in advance.
  11. Thank you for clarifying I appreciate it!
  12. From the information that I have gathered thus far your testing spot is not official unless you go to the nursing office the first 5 consecutive days of the month in which you want to test and register with the nursing office. You have to bring your unofficial transcripts, and school ID. I image that you will need to have the $40.00 testing fee on hand as well, but I'm not 100% certain on that.
  13. Thank for responding so quickly. The person I spoke with did tell me that they wanted to see my transcripts before I could register for the exam. I only questioned what I was been told because I see other students have already enrolled for the same test day I want. But I will follow directions as I'm told lol. Thanks
  14. I have a question for those who have already taken the Hesi exam....I called the nursing office today and they told me that you can only register for the Hesi the first 5 consecutive days in the month that you want to test in. Is this true? I can see through webgate that students have already registered for the test date I want ; which only leads me to believe that I don't have to wait to register. According to the Nurse Information Packet you are suppose to go on webgate and register for the exam as well as pay the $40.00 testing fee. Can anyone shed light on this situation please? There are only a limited number of testing spots and I don't want to have to wait until the last minute to get my test date situated. Thank you in advance!
  15. Congratulations!!!!! NurseUNurseMe
