I liked the flexibility and low cost of the ADN program at Excelsior, but the BSN program at Excelsior doesn't offer much flexibility. I've been off the forum for a while and it seems like times have changed. Any recommended distance learning RN to BSN programs out there? Cost isn't quite such an issue anymore because I have good benefits for education through my employer.

tatar.jake I am in Ohio University online BSN. I started this past feb and will finish in April. I originally was in Excelsior BSN program 15 years ago and quit. I looked into them again, but when they wouldn't even accept their nursing classes I took with them 15 years ago, I said NOPE. I did not like that they charge you a fee every year to keep your records. OU is 5 week nursing classes and $243/credit for out of state. They accepted credits I took over 30 years ago.
thanks. someone else was recommending that. sounds good because I do have lots of other credits.
They are the ones who took the most of my credits. In fact they took all of them, and as I said some were from 30 years ago. fast paced, but not bad at all. Will have my BSN in a little over a year.
dang, it turns out that Ohio U will only take apps from 5 states, and mine isn't one of them. thanks anyway.
What state are you in?
Email the school of nursing. They might help you

Grand Canyon took all of my credits. I'm currently in class 5 of 12. I started in February and will be done April of 2014.

I'm currently enrolled in Villanova's online RN-BSN program and I'm just finishing up my first class. I really like how this class was run and I hope this is how the rest are run. It's a new program so they are very invested in being connected with the students and making sure everything is running smoothly.

I really like WGU. It's extremely flexible and you can essentially test out of classes, much like excelsior used to be. Plus it's very inexpensive!
