Where are you located? Would it be easy for you to move, or do you want something that is local for you? Are you in an ADN or BSN program? Sorry for all the questions, but your post is on the vague side.
Hi I am located in New york, I would not mind relocating. I am getting my BSN.

Call some of the other schools in your area and ask about their policies. Many of the schools in my area don't allow for transfer, except in extreme situations (mostly because of the differences in program layout).
Definitely contact the admissions personel at some other schools to find out what they would require of you in order to transfer. Good luck!

Don't do it. Just stick it out. I was in a nursing program in 2002 and decided to move to another state. It is 5 years later and I am now just getting into a program again. If you do decide to switch schools make sure you have everything figured out before hand. I waited a year to get in-state tuition, then had to take some more prereqs because they were different ones than I had already taken, and then on top of everything I had to take some of the same prereqs over that I had already taken because they were not accepted at the new school. I'm also having to start over again in first semester because now it has been to long. good luck in whatever you decide to do, but make sure it is going to be worth your time.

Be very careful before you try to do this. If your main reason to leave your program is that you don't like it, think about whether it is really nursing you don't like.
There are people everywhere who are hard to get along with. Nursing school is hard EVERYWHERE. This makes for a witch's brew.
Develop a thick skin and hold out for your graduation. Transfering is not a plan. I opted to transfer when my husband got a great job in a great location, and I found out quickly that transfering during nursing school is difficult, expensive, lengthy, and rare.
Best of luck.
In WI, the technical colleges have banded together to form a "seamless" curriculum. This means that all of the Techs in WI have the same requirements for the ADN program.
If you were to move to a different city within WI, all of your credits from your "old" tech would transfer. Of course, you may have to wait to get into the program....

Be very careful!!! I've had many a counslor tell me one thing, then it was a totally different requirement when actuall getting into the program.. Wasted a year over the wrong info. I'd stay.

If you are already in a nursing program and are not failing, I advise that you try and stick it out. Most nursing programs are miserable (at least, mine was). I hated mine with a passion, but I also knew that if I walked out before giving it my best shot, that I would not be a nurse today. It is hard to get into programs these days.

Yes, I've heard rumors of nursing schools that were not miserable; but I've never met those people in person. If possible, stick it out, keep your eyes on the prize.
My husband doesn't let me get talking about nursing school (out for 14 1/2 yrs now), he says I get too riled up and he doesn't want to hear the same whining session.
