Waiting on NCLEX results in Cali

Seems to be taking longer than usual for the California BRN to post new licenses on their site. Not just for me, but for all of my friends who have recently taken the test. The BRN goes for days at a time with no new updates at all :sniff:

Waiting this long is so difficult, and the stress keeps building...:eek:

How long does it take to update now?

I am in Cali, too and I test tomorrow!

Im in CALI too...and I want to know ASAP....but they havent updated since the 27th and lately theyve been updating every 3 days...Oh Plus July4th is coming up!!!

ok, so my girlfriend from school, took the NCLEX in Cali on 6/3.

she got sick of waiting for results, nothing on the Lic Verification for her, so she called (not saying i recommend it), but she called and told her that her license was mailed out this week. Her name still doesnt come up on the verification. Weird, huh. Anyone experience this????

They cannot tell anyone that their license was mailed; for legal purposes. They can only state if a letter was mailed and nothing more than that. And if there is no license showing on the BRN, then I doubt that they said license was being mailed. Results can never be given over the phone, the person doing so can be fired right on the spot. And notice that it even states that calles can be monitored as well.

You are always going to see the licensure number up before one receives the license in the mail.

Average wait time in CA is ten days. And that has been the norm for quite some time. Seeing ones name on their website in two to three days is definitely not the norm, nor when it is the busiest time of the year for them with the majority testing around this time.

Each and every file is reviewed by a human and they can only look at so many per day.

Correct me if I'm wrong:

If I can't find my name on the BON web is that mean that I fail the test? Because you stated that, "You are always going to see the licensure number up before one receives the license in the mail."

I can't find my name in BON web while my friend, who was taking the test on the same day and time but different location, has already had her name up.

I was wondering the same thing as the above poster. I tested on the 8th. I saw that the website has updated on the 9th but my name is not up. If you fail, does your name just not show up at all? In some states I know it says "pending" once they processed your application and then they give a perm. ID number once you pass. Oh I am so nervous :(

I know someone who took theirs last week and saw their name up a week later. Not sure if the websited had been updated in the meantime because she didn't figure out where to find the website until the day her name was up.

Well I found out I failed after 2 weeks via mail. Calling them is useless, trust me I called them everyday the first couple of days and all it did was annoy them. It sucks but just wait. Good luck hope everything goes well.

yea...I just checked the brn and it says that they are updating records right now....I'm really hoping to see my name up there today....I had a glimmer of hope yesterday when I called the board to check on things and the guy told me that if I failed I would have already known....whatever that means cuz I only took it a week and a day ago....and I know they are not "allowed" to give us any implication of if we passed or not....but that MAYBE doesn't mean that they will abide to that...who know...I still completley feel like I failed....sucks that cali doesn't have quick results):

Well...just check the brn...and.....I PASSED...weird because it says that the info has been updated since July 9...but my issue date is today...july 10...so...i guess you can't always relie on the date that it says it was last updated....also...I was waking up from like 2am on every hour and checking on my cell phone internet...when i checked at 4am...my name appeard...but when I came dow to look on my desktop computer the website said that it was updating their records and I couldn't check....so i didn't want to believe until I saw it on my acutaly computer!!!!!!!!!
