I am officially applying to carrington college in Reno! I know that nursing is what i'm meant to do! My interview went terrific... They take 32 people, and I was told 350 were going to take the hesi a2. I know a good chunk of those people might not even pass, and then you have to make sure everything gets done before the deadline (drug test, background check, documents etc.) I took the Hesi a2 on a weeks notice... studied my butt of and managed a 92%! (or a 277/300). Everyone is telling me I should be proud of my score... And that I shouldn't be worried about getting in.... BUT I AM! Letters will be mailed out Nov 28th. I'm dying already! Is 92% (277) a competitive score?? Admissions reps asked if I was considering taking the test again... But I heard them ask that to everyone that was interviewing in the rooms next to me as well. All of the dates are full and I am on a waiting list... But bottom line i'm trying to feel confident in my score, but I'm a worrier by nature. I like to be the best! (Terrible habit I know). Any insight or help would be much appreciated! :)
I have called twice to confirm that I want to accept my seat, but I keep getting voicemail. I left a message today but didn't hear back from Becky. I spoke with financial aid when I interviewed and I had already listed them on my FAFSA application so they had all my financial information. I'm thinking if I am not hearing back from them that I am good to go, I will let you know if I hear any different once I reach someone. Sorry Sammy, I couldn't respond to your private message. I haven't met their minimum number of posts required to use private messages. :-P
Oh that's fine! Yeah I've met with them before too, and have all of my financial aid info and I'm completely covered first academic year, so I was totally shocked when she said I have to have something by Tuesday, when they hadnt mentioned anything about me needing for 2nd financial year before. I mean I knew the estimated had a difference, but idk why they'd now all of the sudden need that. Especially when it's an estimated amount and my fafsa for this next year is going to be super different than the one I have for the first academic year.
you guys are so helpful! Can't wait to meet you! I'm hoping I won't have to take any private loans out. Also, I heard that once you are accepted you can't submit any more transcripts or transfer credits, so we will see about that. I have never taken sociology and I am currently in CH203. I will keep you updated!

I have an appt. tomorrow morning at 10 a.m.
I spoke directly with a financial advisor and she told me to finish federal loan counseling, master promissory note, and bring in my FAFSA as well as my high school diploma and some other paperwork I received at my initial meeting.
I wouldn't worry too much about all your loans yet cause they didn't say anything to me about needing to be pre-approved. I will let you know a.s.a.p what happens after my meeting tomorrow a.m. :)
