  1. Thank you everyone for the awesome insight! I guess well see how the interviews go!
  2. I'm a new grad interviewing on both floors in the next few days. I really enjoyed both floors during my clinical rotations. I love cardiac, which draws me to tele. On the other hand I'm very passionate about oncology. Just wondering what experience may translate to other units in the future... Just wanted to bounce around some opinions. Thanks!
  3. How did you get that list?! Is it on a computer by chance so it can be emailed?! :) and yes I have facebook... That sounds like an amazing idea!! If you do in fact need to buy more time is suggest doing it the way I did. Lol. Weight off my shoulders. They didn't say when I'd be taking what classes... But I'd assume if sociology is being offered the first semester then that's when I'll be taking it as well! I just want that schedule!
  4. Thanks! I've seen a few people wearin different bottoms that were sti grey since I'm sure you can get those cheaper at a scrub store. But I will definitely be needing more than 2 pairs. That's way too much laundry! I had my meeting today and just let them know my family was going to help me. She asked for a letter from someone just saying that they do in fact intend to help me. No big. And then said if I do in fact need private loans I just need them by September. Wasn't a huge thing. I got to register for classes and Becki said a few people have declined their admission so it's delaying the process. She said she'll call if they're ready before orientation but if not well be getting them that day along with books and having our ID pictures taken. Wish we had more notice... But I understand where they are coming from. So now comes more waiting! I just want it to be here already, although I should enjoy my time now. I'd just like to know which classes I'll be taking which semester. She never told me. Lol
  5. I can't wait to try them on! That's the only real thing I'm excited about at this point lol. My mom is super irritated and keeps saying that's no way to run a school. I just don't see what good comes out of keeping information from us. I'd much rather have them be honest in the first place. I'm definitely going to ask for some kind of idea with the schedule. It seems crazy we won't know what times well be in school until 4 days before. I can already tell my boss will have some words for me. Both my mother and I called Tiffany yesterday directly and through the front desk. Both left messages early in the day and never heard anything back. This whole situation has been quite frustrating.
  6. And my fafsa is going to increase substantially next year... So hopefully that'll help too. But of course they don't take that into consideration because everything is estimated.
  7. I think I'm just going to tell them that family is helping me and I'm using savings. I think it would be absolutely ridiculous for them to question me even more or require some kind of bank statement. This whole thing is making my mother quite irritated. Haha. I hope we get schedules before that :/ my boss might kill me if I had that short of notice. Hopefully I'll have some idea of times after the meeting? Did she mention what time of day they were or just what semester you'd have to take them in? But I can't wait to try on the scrubs!!!!! So exciting! Do you only get one pair?
  8. I was hoping that saying a relative was going to help me pay would allow me to register, that way I'd have more time to figure out what I'm actually going to do.
  9. I was totally going to do that, but in order to apply for the carrington loan you have to have a letter of rejection from a private loan. I just think its so ridiculous that it's this huge serious thing, with like a weeks notice.
  10. Because i'm covered until that 3rd semester starts too...
  11. Yeah, unfortunately it's not. I'm submitting the app because when they get denied it'll bump my loan amount to independent which helps me a bit. The only tricky thing is my mom works for a bank, and she told me that banks don't pre approve like that when I wouldn't need the money until the 2nd academic year anyways. I want to find out what they would need if hypothetically someone was paying for me. Because they can't ask for money up front since it's not a for sure total... But I don't know really what they would require in that situation. I've been trying to get ahold of them to ask more questions.
  12. Were you able to sign up for your classes and stuff?
  13. Yeah that's what they told me in my last meeting... I got that print out and everything that i'm sure you got today. So does showing her your plan involve having an actual loan already? Or just that it's what you intend to do? So is the 27k for the entire program? Because I don't see how they can ask you to come up with that when that's an estimated total... I mean your financial aid can change. I think that's where i'm a bit confused.
  14. How did the meeting go?!
  15. yes please please please let me know! but wow that is definitely going to save you A TON of money!
