Waiting for ATT for NCLEX, Still waiting!?

Nursing Students NCLEX

Published

I have been waiting for 5 weeks now to receive my ATT for the RN NCLEX....I have called the Indiana State Board of Nursing, and they have had many different excuses.... "We have 7 weeks to process, we are still processing November's, and each case worker processes at different paces"......But I'm starting to really stress about this. When I graduated with my PN in 2010 I submitted everything on the 10th of August, and took the NCLEX on the 30th! And there isn't supposed to be the amount of applicants in December! In my graduating class there was about 20 RN's, and the most frustrating part is that there are two that have already received their ATT's, took their boards, and are licensed for two weeks now and I turned in my paperwork before they did! Pearson vue said I would have it in 4 weeks and to call if I didn't have it by then, but when I called they said ok so call the State Board....and then I get the run around. I just need to test, is there ANYTHING else I can do?

My only advice is to keep following up. Keep bugging them. It took four weeks for me to get mine, but my school didn't release us for three of those weeks.

I'm sorry to hear that. It must be fustrating. I graduate Dec 16 but our school doesn't confirm graduation until Jan 31 , I still got 9 days just for the school to confirm then I must wait for my ATT. I am so nervous I hope I get my ATT soon so I can really hit the books and study once I set my test date. wish you the best

A friend and I had much the same problem. I have a job waiting for me to pass my NCLEX and I hadn't received anything from the TX BON. At that point I just started calling them everyday to find out the status of my ATT. I took me about 3 days to find someone that actually wanted to help me; once I found that one person, I had my ATT by that afternoon. It is really amazing what a squeaky wheel can accomplish once they set their mind to something.

Have you checked to make sure that they have received all of your documentation, including your Jurisprudence exam?

If they have, then I suggest that you call the BON of your state daily until you receive your ATT, eventually you will get ahold of someone who will help you, because they are nice or simply to make you stop calling.

I love your advice and you are so true; as I have recently implementing the power of what a squaky wheel can accomplish.

I am also in a same boat......so ready to take NCLEX but no ATT! Did you call to customer service and then asked for a specific person? I will really apprecaite your reply as it is going to be three weeks tomorrow and my job needs my Liscense.

I just kept calling Customer Service. I talked to a different person everyday until I got some one who was willing to actually investigate my complaint instead of just telling me that it had been submitted for review and would take 8 to 10 days. It was so very frustrating, especially since they had received all of my documentation before the end of the year.

When are you taking test? was it easy to find a spot to take test bcoz everybody is just saying that they are so booked up. Is this possible for you if you can check spots availability for next week in Houston?

If you go on the Pearson VUE website and check date availability everywhere in Texas. I chose not to test in the Dallas area as all of their test dates were full until March. I chose Tyler, because a) used to live in the area and know my way around, and b) available test dates in February. Remember, you don't have to test in your city, you can test anywhere, such as San ANtonio, Austin, Abilene, Lubbock, any place that Pearson VUE offers the NCLEX. Best of Luck to you!

I am taking the test 2/7.

Thank you for your reply! Good luck to you as well. I just checked different centers in texas but not able to find availability because I need authorization first to check availability( I think so).

Just want to take test next week if not in Houston then friday or saturday anywhere in texas.

No problem, Noni79. Yes I do believe you do need your ATT to look at date availability. Best of luck to you
