Waiting for ATT for NCLEX, Still waiting!?

Nursing Students NCLEX

Published

I have been waiting for 5 weeks now to receive my ATT for the RN NCLEX....I have called the Indiana State Board of Nursing, and they have had many different excuses.... "We have 7 weeks to process, we are still processing November's, and each case worker processes at different paces"......But I'm starting to really stress about this. When I graduated with my PN in 2010 I submitted everything on the 10th of August, and took the NCLEX on the 30th! And there isn't supposed to be the amount of applicants in December! In my graduating class there was about 20 RN's, and the most frustrating part is that there are two that have already received their ATT's, took their boards, and are licensed for two weeks now and I turned in my paperwork before they did! Pearson vue said I would have it in 4 weeks and to call if I didn't have it by then, but when I called they said ok so call the State Board....and then I get the run around. I just need to test, is there ANYTHING else I can do?

I have already verified that the BON has everything as of Dec. 22nd....they said they are just processing in the order in which they were received, but thats only true that the case worker is completing them as each individual receives them....One of my friends submitted hers 2 weeks after mine and has her ATT already....cursed with a slow case worker! :(

6 Weeks of waiting now...only progress I have made it that I now have the name of the person that holds my life in her hands! "Call back next week", they said....you better believe I'm going to! But I just want to SCREAM at them....so far I have been nice, but its getting hard! Good Luck to all of you that are waiting...

Screw calling them back weekly!! I'm telling you if you call her everyday, she will process your ATT, for no other reason than to make you quit calling!! You have to get assertive with these people, they hold your livelyhood in their hands and every day you have to wait to take the NCLEX, the more you have a chance of forgetting. So stand up for yourself, you have just finished, I don't know how many years of school, in an effort to better yourself and follow your dream of being a nurse, and you are going to let some employee of the BON tell you that you must wait even longer? I don't think so!

Teboz: I am in Indiana, too, and understand what you are talking about. Every time I called, they told me my case worker was on vacation. Well, that is great for her, but DISTRIBUTE HER APPS TO OTHERS IN THE OFFICE. We shouldn't have to wait to start work because one of your people took a vacation. On the seventh week, finally I got someone on the phone that dug my application out and processed it. It took her about 30 seconds to enter and I had my ATT within the hour. Frustrating. Others of my classmates are waiting, too. They haven't been lucky to get a nice person on the phone YET. Keep trying. And be studying in the meantime. People reschedule with PearsonVue all the time it seems. When I finally logged on, I had an opportunity to test the next day, but I was too chicken to jump on it. Just a heads up. You might get lucky with scheduling.

I am going to call daily starting now....but since its friday I will wait for next week...MONDAY ;) When I called this morning I was nice, but I let the frustration leak out around my politeness....I told her it was just so upsetting that some people from my graduating class applied after me and had theirs almost immediately. In fact there are 9 people who are already licensed! She was either acting or truly sympathetic, and I'm hoping that since she released my case workers name that she mentioned it to her....In Indiana the phones are only open from 8-12 daily, so they can focus solely on processing paperwork from 12-4.....maybe I will get something today, praying, wishing, hoping!

Beginning 7th week!
