Hello all, I am new to this forum, but have been reading from it for some time. I am curious. Who is still waiting for the fully qualified selection status from Jan boards? It seems that AFPC is busy with other matters for the immediate future. I am waiting patiently....well not so patiently!
It has now been four weeks since my complete application has been under review by the nursing boards. It seems almost unbelievable that no one can tellme anything. My recruiter states that she keep slooking in the database and there's nothing yet. My whole life and career, MSN/MHA, is awaiting a line in a database. Whew..
Just a quick update. I received a call from my replacement recruiter. My old one left and the replacement doesn't come until next month. So I'm dealing with one from out of state. I got my orders an my LOA..
My question is: Did you guys have to do a "current" height and weight? Its been 5 months since MEPS and I'm over right now. I didn't know they re-checked it.
I have been weighed three times!!! My last weight was Feb and I have put on WAY TOO much weight since then, but I think I have a few months until COT. I was told that it is our responsibility to maintain the proper weight and that we could be subjected to being weighed at any time, but if we are over I do not know what the big deal is. My goal is to be 5-10lbs under by COT until then I am a work in progress....

You can have civilian clothes in your room - you actually have a good-sized walk in (yes, I said walk-in) closet to yourself, and you're not inspected. You just can't wear civilian clothes on the campus or in the dorms. You'll get to buy some old-styled AF PT gear that you ARE authorized to wear in the dorms, and of course you can wear any regular uniform (PT, blues, or ABUs). All of this is of course after everyone has uniforms to wear.
You can sleep in whatever you want, but you have to be dressed (no baby doll nighties or lingerie-type stuff). I slept in the old PT sweatpants because they had the AC cranking - those rooms were COLD.
I'm actually at Wilford Hall and rarely see the BMT folks, which sort of disappointed me because that's actually why I picked Lackland. But I'm still in oncology, which makes me happy because that's where I came from. (I typed "BMT" without thinking - I'm on the only Bone Marrow Transplant unit in the Department of Defense.)
