  1. Yea who knows! I have been threatened with a weigh in before cot. If I am over I am out! I struggle and still am a few pounds over. Chances are I will bd dropped over a few pounds
  2. Received orders today! Wow, it all seems to be happening now When exactly is it too late to back out. A little nervous all of the sudden.
  3. I so don't have the money for mess dress. The darn blues jacket was $179 ouch!! The boots are pretty cool but was another $125. These expenses are really piling up.
  4. i've been told that we should be looking forward to a january(ish) cot date depending on need and such. i would not get my hopes up for jan. unless you mean of 2012.
  5. my recruiter said the same thing, but did mention two mental health spots in the 15. he also seems to believe the board for new grads will be cancelled next year. i guess they filled too many spots and are cutting way back to allow the dust to settle.
  6. I think mine was about 18 months as well. Wow, it seems so much longer. The credit for years worked and graduate degrees is still a little hazy to me and I have yet to hear exactly what my numbers are. I did hear yesterday that I can commission now.
  7. this whole process gets more and more confusing...I leave for COT in Jan and I am told I may not commission until days before I leave.. I am starting to have doubts about even joining the AF....,
  8. What is a commander call? If you are scheduled off are you restricted on leaving the area? I guess I am not fully understanding the concept of being oncall all the time, maybe I missed the fine print somewhere..
  9. Both mine were high too. I was so paranoid with a fasting BG of 110 that I must have checked my BG at work 20 times following that and all were perfectly normal. Also, my cholesterol was high and it never ever been high prior to MEPS I am a vegan and it just didn't make sense. I still believe there was something off with the lab work
  10. do larger bases carry more uniform items? I am working near lackland, do carry the full range?
  11. Well that is good to hear and one less thing to worry about.
  12. Can the recruiter do the commissioning?
  13. we text our docs non urgent info. It is a lot quicker and less intrusive than calling them. A few are on record and preferring to be called but the majority prefer the texts.
  14. Maybe this is a dumb question, but do you get any type of comp time for working extra, on call or call back? I am starting to get the bad feeling that you never really have a day off to play.
  15. COT 11-02 so I should be rolling into Keesler in Feb 11.
