Hi Everyone. I wanted to create a thread for the vcu CRNA 2023. Has anyone submitted their application yet ?

Yea I would imagine they stick with their timeline given the amount of applicants...
Btw, has anyone updated their NursingCAS applications after the deadline? I wasn't sure if we also needed to reach out to the school if we did so...
Every time I get an email notification from this forum I freak out a little, hoping someone magically heard something early. LOL. Patience!! Preparing so much for an interview that very well might not even happen is quite the experience. I'm trying to keep my expectations at a good balance ? In the mean time, I hope you all are doing okay within your units. Burn out is so real right now, despite COVID numbers dropping. I think of all my fellow nurses daily!

I don’t know if it is going to be the same as my friend did in the midst of pandemic. But they gave two attempts to record the answers and then it was sent over.

I know most work in ICU who apply. Is there anybody who has ICU experience but now works somewhere else and stays PRN in ICU? I fear this might go against me.

I think you’re fine as long as your full time ICU experience is within a certain time frame. VCU does not specify but other programs have said within 5 years. You already submitted, just think positively at this point.
Hey everyone. I have yet to hear anything as well. Hopefully we will all get some good news by next week. I applied for the Abingdon, VA site. This is my first application as well. I’m excited and nervous, yet if I don’t make it in this year, I will definitely keep trying until I do. Good luck to everyone ?
