Hi Everyone. I wanted to create a thread for the vcu CRNA 2023. Has anyone submitted their application yet ?

I’m feeling the anxiety too! I wish we knew how many applicants there are. I have to say the turnaround time is still pretty darn good even with this delay.

Not like it would change anything at all but I would love to know how many applicants they have. I am also curious if this has happened before or if this is the first time.

I applied to the Richmond program! Does anyone know what the interview process is like? The email about the number of applicants made me nervous

I heard that questions mostly are about you and what kind of changes you implemented on your unit as a nurse. It’s like job interview questions. Also, it’s not like Zoom, you record your answer to question and send it over to them. They only ask clinical questions if you don’t have your CCRN. Since most do, they rarely ask clinical questions. Not too bad.

They sent the same email last year, I heard. Nothing new. Every year they have abundance of qualified applicants.

Not really LOL. I am enjoying my freedom and my money right now cause it will all be gone once I start the program haha

Bloomsburg In Pa says they’ll send out interview invites in April. Then the other schools I’m applying to UMD and Hopkins(maybe) deadlines are in September.

Agreed, even more stressed because I just discovered some small typos on my application! The system made it hard to double check/edit (Grr nursingCAS) and now I'm doubting my application...I didn't want to call the school to change it and point out my mistakes...

The fact that there are so many applicants this year doesn't make it easier haha. Oh well, I guess I just have to see where the cards fall.
