Villanova BSN Express Spring 2015

Hi, my name is Mike. I'm opening this thread to connect with other people who are applying or have been accepted to the BSNExpress program at Villanova for Spring 2015. Feel free to share any thoughts and suggestions you might have and to ask questions. Hopefully this forum can serve as a way for us to get to know each other a bit prior to the start of the program.

Fyi, the online portal won't tell you if you've been accepted or not. It will just say "decision has been made, letter sent" so don't be scared to check :) it took me about three days to receive my letter, but I'm in California.

Yea, I figured as much they wouldn't post the decisions on the portal. The last time I checked a few weeks ago it said under review. I would hope it won't take that long to get to me since I'm in Philly.

Any current students or recent grads to speak more on the program??

I went ahead and made a facebook group, so WHEN you are all accepted, search for Villanova BSNExpress 2015-2016, request an invite, and i'll accept you into the group. ;)

Just got my acceptance! I'm beyond excited! Will be registering for the open house in a few weeks!

Hi! I just found this forum. I applied at the end of September and have an interview this Friday! Has anyone interviewed with Prof S.H.? Was wondering what to expect.

Hi gerrly,

I just had the interview today. She's very nice. I was so nervous about it, but it turned out like a conversation. I was asked the reason why I choose nursing, and why pursue it now.

Good luck on Friday. You'll do great.

Now I just have to wait for the decision. Congrats for sweetem and everyone that have been accepted.

Hello - glad to hear your interview went well! Were there any typical interview questions that she asked other than, "why nursing now?" and "why nursing?". Such as, "tell me about yourself?" or anything along the lines of that? My interview is Wednesday and I am super nervous!

Yes LauraG10. She also asked me about myself, my strengths and weaknesses. She also explained to me how this program works. I just realized even though it's an accelerated program, it won't make any of students left behind because for the fall and spring semesters, it will be like when we're taking 17-20 credits at our undergraduate program.
