Villanova BSN Express Spring 2015

Published

Hi, my name is Mike. I'm opening this thread to connect with other people who are applying or have been accepted to the BSNExpress program at Villanova for Spring 2015. Feel free to share any thoughts and suggestions you might have and to ask questions. Hopefully this forum can serve as a way for us to get to know each other a bit prior to the start of the program.

hi joejoe3, how do you like the FACT program? i am currently applying to both fact and bsn express and would love some insight?

Hey guys. I'm currently in the Villanova BSN Express program and I can tell you it's an amazing program. I can also tell you both of my clinicals thus far have made it clear that they love Villanova students, especially the Expressors. Also of note is that VU has a very good network of career services and will be able to help you get your foot in the door of pretty much any major hospital you want to work in after you graduate. Any program will make you a nurse, but only here will you become a Villanova nurse and there is definitely a difference. I am of course biased, but I guarantee you will not regret going with Villanova's program. We also have several advanced practice grad programs and you can get into them more easily if you get your BSN from Villanova because they know the quality of the education you get here better than they do of other programs.

Thank you jay buzz! I love hearing that the current students love the program...makes me want to get accepted even more! After your interview...how long did it take to receive a decision? what made you choose nova over some of the other local Accelerated BSN programs?

They do rolling admissions so how long it takes just depends on how busy they are. I think I got my letter in about a month but others took longer.

I chose nova because I did my undergrad here and didn't want to go anywhere else, I didn't even bother applying anywhere else so I can't really speak to those programs.

Hey everyone and congrats on getting into this great program! I'm starting in May 2016, and just have a couple questions...How much is the online patho class through Villanova? And.. if you don't mind me asking- does anyone work part-time? Even one day a week? I don't know if it's doable since it's such a fast-paced program and I'd rather commit to my education 100%...but if possible I wouldn't mind staying at my job one day a week. Thanks guys!
