I requested my cousin to request a bank draft from Citi bank since she is working there. Apparently you need a dollar account to create one, so she created it.

you can try at PNB even if it's your mom's dollar account

Specializes in OR/DR/RR, Surgical Unit.

I also ticked the "diploma" but i have indicated that i graduated and finished Bachelor of Science in Nursing in the next question. I think I would just email them to tell them about it.

hi everyone! i graduated march 2007 and took nclex exam last november 11, 2008. i received my license in december and i have to renew it this march 31, 2009. my problem is i haven't worked in a hospital yet so i don't have any work experience. can VT BON renew my license even if i havent worked yet?

Specializes in Medical and general practice now LTC.

I think you may be OK but may have to do some CEU's depending on VT requirements for renewal

It is Ok to renew your VT license even if you have no work experience yet since you graduated from nursing school not more than 5 yrs. They do not require CEUs for international nurses for first time renewals. You should have received by now the renewal form. They sent it out last Feb. But if you haven't, no worries, download the form from their website. And act fast, deadline is in couple of weeks to avoid penalties. And please read previous posts regarding VT renewal. There are a lot of helpful tips already given.

Best of Luck!

kokomogirl, r u sure it ok to renew my initial license even if i don't have any work experience? coz i thought its a requirement that you have to practice your profession at least 50 days within the last 2yrs... if u don't mind may i ask how did u know that it is ok? is it in the renewal form? coz i haven't received my renewal form until now... that's why i sent vermont a letter of request just this morning to place my license on inactive status coz i didn't receive the renewal form plus i thought they won't renew it unless i have practiced my profession... thanks for the reply...

I believe my understanding is correct Jowannah 03. That "50 days or at least 400 hours within the last 2 years" work requirement is intended for those who graduated from nursing school more than 5 years ago.

I hope i am of help to you in any way. I am a vermont licensee myself. Requesting for inactive status is also an option.

omg, how i wish i've read your response earlier so i could've printed the renewal form in the web and have my license renewed instead of requesting it to be placed on inactive status.... too bad 4 me coz i read your msg right after i got back from the post office... anyway, thanks a lot 4 the information kokomogirl....
