Venting about NCLEX results

That really sucks...I'm sorry. I went crazy for the 48 hrs so I can't imagine not knowing for maybe four weeks. Hang in there

Each state has the option of setting what ever time frame as they please. Students normally know this in advance, and if you are speaking of California, this is very common knowledge. Thy are one of the few states that will permit a nurse to take the boards before they have received final documents from the school, etc.

You may also hear in just a few days, you can just start checking their website to see when your name appears, it will there before you get an actual letter.

And by the way, not all states participate in early notification................

Thanks Suzanne but my state (Alabama) does not even put info. on their website. It's only for employers that have a pin number. They told me I just have to wait for the results to come in the mail.

Same thing with California. Things only get put on the website when they are done with everything. And there is no set time limit. I am sure that your state has a website where one can verify a license, and not for employers only. And if you already have an employer, then have them check for you. Quite simple.:)

I am taking Nclex on a friday when can I find out my result?? will I be able to find out over the weekend or do I have to wait till tuesday?

I live in Mississippi and I was told that they didn't do quick results either, but I got my results in 2 days. I did a search for Mississippi Board of Nursing and when the site came up it had an icon titled license inquiry and I clicked it and put in my last name and last four digits of my social security number, and there is was my license number, and staus(ACTIVE).

I hope this helps you out, cause the wait is awful. :uhoh21:

If you are taking the exam for NY, you will be able to find out on Pearson-Vues website on Sunday morning. Desn't matter if it is a holiday or not, always 48 hours later.
