Vegastar is an RN!

Published

Hey there!

Just writing to let you know that as of today, the nursing student formally known as vegastar is now an RN!!

I found that the NCLEX was a breeze. 75 questions, 45 minutes. I did study a lot, although I do feel that at the end of the day critical thinking skills are the main thing that is needed for the NCLEX examination. I can't talk about questions, of course, but there were a lot of questions that asked about meds and conditions that I never heard of. By using my vocabulary to figure out the anatomy and type of the procedure, and by taking clues from the questions, I was able to find out the right answer (or at least what I am guessing was the right answer...) or at least narrow it down to 2!!

Good luck to all!!

Hi. I just signed up for the Excelsior. I am an LPN, was a USARMY MEDIC 91B attached to an infantry unit. I also completed a two year Computer aided design for the Architectural drafting.....before I went into the ARMY. I am 41 y/o M and I work in an RN role in my office. I am very well respected and have the whole team supporting my decision to continue to progress with my desire for RN. EC has received LPN transcripts and Army transcrips were sent on 09/17...possibly receive them on MOnday. The other school is not closed, but transcripts are coming from Post-secondary education transcripts. They mentioned a week. I already paid the $75, ready for the $875. They said I need to wait until they review the documentation to correctly assess what I need to actually complete in order to get my RN. I am very excited and this blog has a lot of valuable information on it. What I would like to ask the community is ... I am assuming you focus on one class at a time, then test out.

I just don't have my classes assigned to me yet. Can anyone provide an example of how they organized their day with Study. Did you set your test date, then start studying? Anything would be helpful at this point. Thank you in advance. For all it's worth, like minded people feed positive energy off of like minded people. Our positive interactions on these boards can really develop a great tool for the new students to embrace our differences, but conquer our goals. Together with this community support, I believe it can be done. Thank to everyone. Greg
