Hi Everyone. I wanted to create a thread for the vcu CRNA 2023. Has anyone submitted their application yet ?

If you copy and paste the link into your browser it will take you to eservices. From then I think you click "apply for admission link" where you have to create a login and pin. After that you select application type. The only one that makes sense to click is the "Nursing Cas MS/PHD - Supplement" I'm not sure about the last part if someone could provide some insight as to whether I am right that would be appreciated ha.

Is that still necessary?

I had called nursing cas about the supplemental fee and was told that sometimes schools require a second fee. I was like oh well hopefully something good comes out that 145

From the "Program Materials" section on nursing Cas. Scroll down towards the bottom of the page you will see "Complete the Virginia Commonwealth University supplemental application and pay the supplemental fee".

Click on the link, and do  BSFJFIT44W said. The Application checklist and fill out everything. Pay the fee. It's much simpler than nursing cas

Submitted today! I'm a first time applicant so not getting my hopes up a ton, but was encouraged to apply by some current SRNA's so we will see how this process goes. ? Good luck to everyone here! Did anyone have any issues with bugging your references to submit?!

Oh yeah! I bugged the *** out of my director. He completed the likert scale the same day but letter upload took a week. Likert scale takes less than 5 minutes I was told by my other two references.

Hi, great to see this thread. I'm a first time applicant, new to the process. Not sure how everyone fared obtaining shadowing experiences during COVID. I was able to talk with the admissions office, and they said they did not require any sort of shadowing experience due to the pandemic and would not expect anyone to do so.

Glad they did away with their GRE requirements! Seems a bit outdated to have that. Good luck to everyone- NursingCAS is really frustrating, so get your materials in early!

I have shadowing experience but only because I heard from others that they obtained it. I really would not think it is that important at all. I heard they used “point system” and give certain number of points for each achievement like GPA, CCRN, references, leadership, etc.

First time applicant too applying to Richmond

How did you upload your shadowing experience and anyone know if you can add to your application once you’ve submitted it?

I included shadowing in my resume. You can add more info to your application after you submitted. However, I don’t know if are able to after deadline.

Just found this group. I recently just submitted my application for Richmond, good luck to everyone ?

Hi everyone. I also applied to VCU for the Spring 2023 start. This is my first time ever applying to CRNA school, so fingers crossed. :)

Has anyone applied to other schools with earlier start dates? If yes? How was it ? Did you get to the interview stage? Just killing time since we will have to wait for a while.

Also what other schools are you looking to apply ? I will do Maryland and maybe Hopkins. But the cycle does not open until April I think
