VCU ABSN Summer 2021

Hi there!!

I applied to VCU's ABSN program for Summer 2021. I am so nervous being that we should get the yay or nay email on Monday. Has anyone else applied? Are you nervous? They said it was a holistic approach to acceptance, my GPA is a 3.49 for my undergrad so I am nervous

Hi there, I was waitlisted to this program last year. I reapplied and am also waiting my admission results come Monday. I'm anxious, not nervous.

That's so sweet. Same to you! I'm sure you have nothing to worry about. I do not know. I am going to assume that it was due to the fact that I had to retake my A&P (They were over 10 years old and expired)... but who knows.

Question: were you by chance taking any pre-req courses during the Spring of 2020? I was, and had to take an Incomplete in one of the classes that I've since finished due to COVID-19. I was told that there may be a point in which VCU requests updated transcript information prior to when decisions are released. I never received that request. If you took classes in the Spring and found yourself in a similar scenario.. did they contact you?

Thanks! And I am kinda in a similar situation, I didn't have an incomplete but on my transcript I sent in it said I was in the process of taking Microbiology and Human Anatomy 2. I never got an email though asking for an updated transcript.

I'm pretty sure they had a ton of applicants who took pass/fail grades, incompletes, etc. I'm sure there was a lot going on with the applications this cycle. But yes.. it's nerve racking waiting until Monday ?

Exactly!! This year was hectic so hopefully they will be gentle with their selection ?. I hope the emails come early on Monday, I keep having dreams about this day...my nerves are a mess LOL

Hello! I am also anxiously waiting for the VCU ABSN 2021 acceptances to come out, I just made this account to comment on this thread specifically. I actually thought they'd be coming out today (Sunday) so I was waiting but now I read from you guys that it's coming out tomorrow morning. Ahhh, hopefully we hear good news!

I am actually still finishing up undergrad right now, I am a 4th year at UVA! Majoring in biology with a minor in American Sign Language, started off pre-med and changed my mind to nursing, all that jazz. What about you? What is your background?
