VCU ABSN Summer 2021

Hi there!!

I applied to VCU's ABSN program for Summer 2021. I am so nervous being that we should get the yay or nay email on Monday. Has anyone else applied? Are you nervous? They said it was a holistic approach to acceptance, my GPA is a 3.49 for my undergrad so I am nervous

I graduated from UVA a long time ago! am working full time for the hospital. Well.. good luck tomorrow! I'm sure you won't need it ?

Hey everyone I’ve been waiting for someone to start this thread. I applied to VCU ABSN as well and am so nervous. I’ll be graduating from ODU this may but I’m scared for my GPA which is 3.59 and I think my prereq is around a 3.3. Best of luck to all of us!!

I also took anatomy 1 and Microbiology over the Summer 2020 and they didn’t ask for updated transcripts but I sent it to them anyway and she said they received them and would put them with my application.

Why are you scared for a 3.59 GPA? That's a good GPA.

To be honest.. my observation is that they like pulling applicants that are fresh out of undergrad. So I think if you are finishing up or recently graduated you have a higher chance.

Maybe it’s just me I just didn’t have a lot of experience due to Covid so I’ve only volunteered at a hospital and blood drives and then I was a tech but was furloughed due to Covid.
