VCU ABSN Summer 2018

Hey guys!

I just started a thread for UVA's CNL Summer 2018, but I'm also applying to VCU's ABSN program for Summer 2018. If anyone out there is doing the same, or just applying to VCU, I'd love to hear from you! :)

List ONLY the 5 prerequisites for VCU nursing that is required on both sections. I got my statistics prerequisite in one school and the rest (psych, anatomy, physiology, microbiology) from another school.

List only from the uni u took your prerequisites and leave the other blank.

I know I have asked quite a few questions, but I appreciate your help! Are SAT/ACT scores required for second degree students? If so, I am having trouble figuring out what the college board ID is for my SAT I took in 2012.

I also had my official transcripts mailed to NursingCAS and have not submitted my online NursingCAS application. Hopefully, this will be ok as I believe they will save my transcripts until after I submit the application.

I spoke with VCU the other day and they informed me that due to a "change in leadership" they would not be ranking the waitlist this year, but they will be pulling from it very soon. She did not say how many people they would be pulling or the exact day. Please post if you hear anything! We were supposed to receive an email late January with more information about the list but it seems like we won't be getting that this year.....

I, too, was waitlisted and got the following email today:

Thank you for your patience as we determined spaces available. At this time you remain on the waitlist and do not have space listings available.

Does anyone who was waitlisted know what they mean by "they do not have space listings available?" Does this mean the class is full for now and they are pulling people based off of people dropping out? I know they usually pull a few groups of people in February and March.

Hey! I'm coming late into this thread! I was admitted into the summer 2018 VCU ABSN program. I've submitted my payment, background check, and replied that I accept, but I haven't really heard anything to confirm that I'm in, and haven't really gotten any other emails about signing up for classes, etc. Has anyone else heard much from the program? Just making sure I'm not missing something....Thanks!!

Haven't heard either so I contacted Erica. She said my supervisor should be contacting us soon. She also put me in touch with financial aid office which I was wondering about when we get to talk to someone. They seem a little disorganized

I hear you, I've been very antsy, too. I emailed Erica this week, and said my adviser would be in touch later this week. So fingers crossed that I hear something from him by tomorrow.
