VCU ABSN Summer 2018

Hey guys!

I just started a thread for UVA's CNL Summer 2018, but I'm also applying to VCU's ABSN program for Summer 2018. If anyone out there is doing the same, or just applying to VCU, I'd love to hear from you! :)

Has anyone not received anything? I'm still waiting on a decision as to whether I got in or not. I was thinking maybe I submitted my app wrong? but then again I check on NursingCAS and it says that it has arrived

I havent heard anything still. So I called them Monday around 430pm and was given 804-828-5171. The direct like of the nursing advisor who should be in this morning around 9.

Hi, I am joining this thread late, but I got accepted into the ABSN '18 for VCU and was looking for someone to split a 2 bedroom with. Are you still interested?

I had a 3.65 for my undergrad and a 4.0 for my pre-requisites. I have actually declined my spot since I put my deposit down at GWU. Best of luck to all of those still waiting to hear or on the wait-list!

I had a 3.77 for my bachelors, 3.9 masters and 3.9 for all pre requisites with 2yrs+ hospital PCT experience. Hope that helps.

Wow, that's amazing and so competitive! Right now I have a 3.8 gpa with a 3.4 prerequisite gpa. I have hospital volunteer experience and I am now a patient tech at a hospital. I still have the spring and fall semesters of classes to take before I graduate with my bachelors degree. I was wondering if I would be waitlisted since the nursing program will notify me of my acceptance during the time I will still have a semester of classes left. However, I will be finished with my semester before the first day the nursing program classes start.

That's awesome you got into GWU. It is one of my other choices, but the tuition cost is the only problem. If you don't mind me asking, what made you select GWU over VCU? Congrats on your acceptance though! That is so exciting!
