Vanderbilt Summer 2011

I know it's still early, but the application process starts in 2 days and I'm getting antzy about just applying. I saw past threads on here about previous cohort application process and wanted to start one for the summer cohort. I'm applying with one of my friends from school, and we both have Vandy as our #1 choice.

Anyone else on here thinking about applying soon?

Has anyone else heard anything? I have received nothing and I am really concerned. I keep checking my inbox and spam folder. Nothing.

Rach1120, I received my email around 530 pm. I also got an interview. Perhaps they are going alphabetically or by order in which you sent it. Best of luck!

MNCSN, thanks so much for letting me know. I didn't turn my application in until the last week. Let's hope that's it, because if they're going alphabetically, I'm in trouble! Congrats on getting your interview!!!

Rach1120, I received my email around 5:00pm as well. I will be interviewing for the Peds track. Maybe they are emailing by tracks?

Well, to debunk all theories, unfortunately, here is where I stand:

Got my email at 4:38 pm EST

I applied for Critical Care Track

I Fed ex'd my application 2 days before the deadline

My last name starts with K

I did NOT get an interview

So, there seems to be NO method to how they're emailing. But no news is still good news. or at least better than finding out you won't be interviewing. Good luck to everyone who gets an interview!

I also didn't make the cut...but for some reason, I'm not upset about it ;) It was a great way to practice, though.

UPS'ed my packet a week before deadline

anyway, i'm super stoked. Vandy is my #1 choice. Now I have to start interview prep!
